CD, DAE, DVD ripping on combo drives?

Looking at getting this off komplett: Samsung CD-burner IDE 52x/24x/52x/16x Bulk,SM-352BEAB ,Combo, Black design I've heard reports that ripping on combo drives is heartache. I'd be doing DAE extraction, sub-channel reading and DVD ripping with this drive. Anyone have any comments/observations to contribute?

I don't know about this model but I havn't experienced ripping problems with combo drives yet. Have ripped on 2 no name combo models before and havn't had probs. Can't see there being any prob on a brand name one.
