I definitely think lack of physical exercise is the problem - I do nothing all day, and even if I've been up since 7am, I'm not sleepy. Think I might start going to the gym this year (yeah right)!

Tomorrow should be fun alright. Want to be leaving the house here between 7.45-8am, and have been consistently waking up between 12 and 2pm since Christmas. I got up at 10am on Friday, and I had to snooze for a couple of hours on the couch, I was knackered...getting up at 10am!!

Very tempted to stay up all night playing C&C Generals or Rollercoaster Tycoon, but I may either be in good form tomorrow and sleep early, or be completely knackered all day in work, and fal asleep at 6pm only to get up in the middle of the night....Hmmm.

    :/

Ahhhh, thank God for work. Since Im on a part time contract I usually for evenings/nights so I still get up late.
But today I was up at 7.45, having falled asleep around 3.30, wasnt that tired. But after a 9 hour shift standing Im kind of sleepy. I find watching tv puts me to sleep but the computer keeps me wide awake. Have to get up at 7.30 for college tomorrow so I should be back tomorrow.
I was working a lot for Xmas so I wasnt today bad but up until today I was getting worse and worse. Also due to work/being tired I havent to the gym in a while. A good work out and a full day leads to a great sleep.

maybe go to the doctor and get him / her to prescribe you somethin, as a last resort maybe sleeping pills to help you get into a pattern and then you could come off 'em after a while and see if you can sleep then?

try reading a bit before you go to sleep, sometimes that helps

Why is everyone suggestions going to the doctors so quickly? Is that the kind of society we have become? Prescription medicine for every niggly problem?

'A pill for every ill' only leads to trouble.

Look your solution should be easy.

GET SOME EXCERCISE AND GET UP EARLY YOU LAZY SHITS

I'd say try exercise, eat at regular intervals cut down on sugar and caffeine and surprising as it sounds try counting sheep (or better yet picture a kite and follow it around).

Any Doctor will be reluctant to give you medication. It will wreck havoc with your system and isn't always the best alternative.

Go for a check up, but don't go expecting drugs.

As a last resort like, if everything else doesn't work :)

I personally never go to doctors, I actually have to be dragged there! Only if I'm really really really ill will I go to a doctor :)

Some of them are really nice, damn sexy and have wonderful personalities.

Even those ones would be slow to give drugs ;)

Try working 12 hour nightshifts throughout the christmas periods. I sleep like a baby.

but avoiding intoxications.. how do you stop thinking? ... I'm on 4-1 at the moment... but even when I've to get up at 8 its still 3 or 4 before sleep.... and its not even sleep... its dreams... very realistic dreams... like films but my eyes are closed and I'm a character.

Maybe too much RPGs is your problem!

But i also have very realistic dreams! And they are most realistic if I wake at around 7 and fall back to sleep til 9. They are so realistic I have to make sure they didnt happen. For instance this morning I woke up and someone had txted me and i fell back to sleep. When i woke up later I had to check my fone again to make sure i hadnt dreamt receiving the message.

Sometimes I have dreams that seem so real that I am absolutely wrecked when I wake up the next morning. A few weeks back, I dreamt that I was running away from something, and when I woke up, my legs felt like jelly as if I really had been running all night!!

well, i stayed awake all day on sunday, was totally wrecked till about 7, i sterted to waken up, and it was bedtime in 5 hours, anyway, when 12 arrived i was knackered tired, slept well listening to Martina Topley-Bird, i set my alarm for 8, when i woke up i said to my self, you've been very good, have another hour, so i did, and i got up at 9, rite now im still listening to the same album, and working away like a little bee.

Just remmembered my freakiest dream after eading this. I was out at sea somewhere. And something happened and i was thrown from this platform into the sea. It was freezing cold and i tried so hard to move but couldnt, it was too cold. I started sinking into the blackness of the water until i died drowned. And the dream couldnt continue coz i was dead in the dream, so i woke up. Very freaky.

I thought of it coz i was sinking down into the water, falling and falling and i had the same falling feeling when i woke up, i was also shivering with the cold.

Your bedroom was probably cold. The outside environment tends to feature and even influence your dreams.
I can't count the amount of times I've had bells going off in a dream (and them being an integral part of the dream), only to wake up and my alarm clock or the house alarm is going off.
I've also dreamt that my arm was chopped off, only to wake up and find it dead from sleeping on it. Tis quite cool.

Yeah it is really cool! I remmember when i had this really loud alarm clock. And in when it used go off i didnt wake up for ages. Instead whatever i was doing in my dream the clock would be there and id try to turn it off in my dream lol.

THAT REMINDS ME, my best dream ever (no not that kinda dream). Right i dont know how i dreamt this but anyway....

Our house was not at its usual location but in a street somewhere. I left there and started running from something ( I 4get what). I came to a field as I ran through it. As i ran the ghosts of dead ppl who were buried in the field appeared in front of me. As i ran through them i could feel shivers going through me. Anyway the best part was i stopped running in my dream, and i realised, hey, im dreaming. It was so cool, i realised i was dreaming in my dream. I wish i couldve tried to do something else in the dream after realising this however i was terrified of all the ghosts and closed my eyes tightly in my dream. And woke up.
