If you want to kill some time I suggest this. Simply amazing puzzles, riddles everything. I'm on number 26 at the moment if you get stuck, I should be able to give some hints.

the second q:

A four letter word
and it's quite absurd
how adding an s to the fore,
Makes sound "er" from before
now sound more like "or"
and makes a weapon of war.

got as far as question 5 now.
Remove six five-letter words. What's left?

....i'm not stuck yet. but i started doing it then realised there isn't enough letters to remove 6 5 letter words in a 5 x 5 block of letters...i'll have to rethink this

for question 3 do what the title says

for q5 there are anagrams of 6 words in the rows and columns and main diagonals. Find them and take them away

I don't 'get' riddles. Ever. You can give me the answer, show me where it's contained in the question, but to me, the question never ever relates to the answer.

Either my brain doesn't work that way, or you have to practice at these things. I need to be able to esablish a firm line, as in "The question asks X, so logically the answer must be Y". If that's not how it works, then it's a big pile of bull****, and not a real question at all

The same with crosswords for me. For example - the first one in puzzledonkey -

WTF has an elephant got to do with a game? I'm aware they have two main species, and ivory 'pieces', but what has 'game' got to do with anything? Understand where I'm coming from?

I only got the second one cos someone said it was 'in the question, so I randomly added s onto four letter words in the riddle till it made sense
