    Not sure where this should go ;

In a British program about Colin Farrell's lastest flick SWAT presented by some British blonde bimbo. The best bit was her interview of ice-cool Samuel L Jackson.

Bimbo: What was it like working with Colin?, cos he is just so hot in the U.K. right now

Jackson: he's pretty hot in the U.S. too

Bimbo: Yeah, but he is one of our own

    Jackson: Isn't he from Ireland?

Bimbo: Yeah, but we can claim him cos Ireland is beside us

Jackson: You see that's your problem right there. You British keep claiming people that don't belong to you. We had that problem here in America too, it was called slavery.

    Good one Sammy :)

I think their "excuse" is that Ireland is in the British Isles. Great Britain is a political definition whereas the British Isles are merely an unfortunate geographical designation...

Pulp Fiction sealed that..The man oozes more coolness than James Bond...

    JULES TO RINGO

Now I want you to go in that bag

    and find my wallet.

    RINGO

    Which one is it?

    JULES

It's the one that says Bad

    Motherf!ucker on it.

Ringo looks in the bag and -- sure enough -- there's a

wallet with "Bad Motherf!ucker" embroidered on it.

    __________________________________________________________

    JULES: What country you from!

    BRETT: What?

JULES: "What" ain't no country I know! Do they speak English in "What?"

    BRETT: What?

    JULES: English-motherf!ucker-can-you-speak-it?

    BRETT: Yes.

JULES: Then you understand what I'm sayin'?

    BRETT: Yes.

JULES: Now describe what Marsellus Wallace looks like!

    BRETT: What?

JULES: Say "What" again! C'mon, say "What" again! I dare ya, I double dare ya motherf!ucker, say "What" one more goddamn time! Now describe to me what Marsellus Wallace looks like!

    BRETT: Well he's ...he's...black --

    JULES: -- go on!

    BRETT: ...and he's...he's...tall --

JULES: -- does he look like a b!tch?!

    BRETT: What?

    JULES: Does-he-look-like-a-b!tch?!

    BRETT: No.

JULES: Then why did you try to f!uck 'im like a b!tch?!

    Done and dusted.......

Are you english? I know I sound a little abusive. But when I have to listen to soilders blaming me, and me alone for all the trouble in the north I get a bit pissed. In england all they know about is the IRA. What about the UVF etc etc and all the shít they cause. They know nothing of the history and anyone that I have explained the situation to have said "Well why dont we just give it back..... If the people want to be british they should come back to britian"

Sorry if I was abusive.... but I have strong feelings on this subject.

Have all the feelings you like on the subject, it's still idiotic to call all english people stupid and arrogant

yeh have to keep in mind that Britain have a much better infrastructure then us, many native Irish there want to stay ruled by Britain, they just want the fighting to stop, I hate it when people think that everyone Irish there wants it to be part of the Republic and vice-versa, it pisses me off in fact!

Jaysus, theyll be saying the wolfe tones are an Sasanach next.

Ive seen this happen loads of times, especially on ITV. That CDUK show does it quite a bit, though in general what with the irish acts that appear on that show generally theyre welcome to them.

Actually most of the english media seem happier to show Colin Farrell as the Irish foul mouthed drunken drug addled womaniser. Most UK tabloid stories about him seem to start with the line"Irish hellraiser Colin Farrell......"
The Irish love a bit of a rogue who gives the two fingers to what the rest of the world thinks. The americans are horriifed when they hear of his drinking and his liking for prostitutes and occasional heroin use. The typical irish reaction is something along the lines of"gwan the fcuk!":)

Going slightly off topic here but as I said thats what distinguishes even the famous Irish folks from the rest of the world. Every other country seems to have one or two celebrities who cant be trusted not to swear on pre watershed live tv,such as the Gallagher brothers in England. We have Farrell,Bono,Bob Geldof and plenty more whos names escape me. Geldof was actually on CDUK a few weeks ago and I made a poitn of watching purely because I knew he would eventually swear. And he did,in highly humourous fashion:D(something along the lines of"fcuk the time and show the next video") Like him or loath him, fair play to Dunphy for admitting drug use on his own show. In the UK he would have been sacked after an army of old biddies had ranted to the ITC about it. But here, noone cares. And would the Brits tolerate the likes of Parkinson swearing on his own show? Like fcuk they would.
If Johnny Foreigner celebrities acted the same way the world would be a more entertaining place:)

What occasional Heroin use?? Someone else will chip in with the quote cause I can't remember it but apparently he was being sarcastic in a Playboy interview and the interviewer didn't quite grasp the concept of sarcasm and it was written down as fact. ie

    Colin: Hellraiser......Wha me?? {chews nails} ah jaysus, sure I love the oul gear, smack....ya know.......Heroin.......;) ;)

What was printed on the written page: I like Heroin and think it is great etc etc

Thats not the quote, I made that up but apparently thats kinda like what happened.

I saw it, twas on the other evening. They joked about Sam & Colin being slaves etc. The bimbo then asked him if he gets many girls, he said no. She replied saying he should get in contact with someone about that. Jokes about having ass written into his contracts ensued. Pretty cringeworthy, i went back to watching Men & Motors.
