You don’t understand the basic rules of changing an underage fixture in the county. The youth board oversee those, separate to the county board. Generally they don’t have an issue if the two clubs agree to a move and it doesn’t hold up other fixtures.

20 years ago when you were about Cavan, who was your club may I ask?

You’re coming on here declaring what big balls you have, calling Cavan GAA people cowards and referencing other clubs but you cower away from a simple question.

Truth be told- there's been a lot of toxic BS in Cavan over the last 20 or 30 years and it has likely stunted progress and warped decision making. Every time a chink of light shows in the club or county scene it gets overshadowed by some idiot climbing on his teammates mrs. I honestly think gaa clubs need a code of conduct regarding infidelity. similar to what AFL clubs have.

I am no longer based in Cavan but frequently get messages forwarded from WhatsApp groups back home with "did you hear this"…And get plenty of salacious gossip that I completely ignore.

I asked about with 2 other lads from other counties if they ever have stuff like this and they think it is absolutely bonkers stuff. I have no idea if any of these things are true but I can say from my own local club perspective that this sort of nonsense either doesn't happen in Dublin or we don't have a load of WhatsApp gossips.

Again, woudl be great to see an honest discussion about this about a charter or some sense of a "shared culture" but seeing as we can't even discuss our worse season in over a decade, I can't see anyone daring to mention this

We had a current player visit our local a couple of christmases ago and he was sharing tidbits from the inner sanctum and other county panels. He was probably enjoying the attention but I found him very loose with the tongue. he wouldn't have known some of us at due to age gap and geography but of course there was pints flowing and no shortage of boyos egging him on. A night or two later the barman commented that it was about as funny as hearing that JP McManus had been sulky racing the thoroughbred he lost on.

I’d love to know who some of these lads spreading the rumours are. Over the years recently I have found it to be a very closed shop. Terry Hyland started this and it continued since.

I remember someone I knew during Covid trying to confirm some of the travel details for the team to Dublin as he wanted to bring his kids to greet them along the route. A couple of players wouldn’t even confirm if they were going on a bus or travelling separately,

Picking up a few players at oxegen festival on the way to play Cork in 2010. Tommy Carr was in charge.

That was to the Wicklow game in 2009 I believe. Not 2010. In fairness, things have moved on an awful lot since then. Andrews and Hyland started a total change in focus.
