Tonight was unreal! Sound was great, weather was perfect, crowd were up for it and the band were in form.

For a band who first came to Dublin 40 years ago they don’t sound like they’ve aged nearly as much as they have. Absolutely cracking day.

Happy to hear that the sound issues were just in my section, glad ye enjoyed it. Any Metallica gig I've been to I've always known then to be fairly meticulous in setting up the sound

Absolutely wrecked from the two days but well worth it, got the follow from the legend himself,

What a banging setlist as well

I wasnt there tonight but Friday's run on Nothing Else Matters, Battery, Seek and Destroy and Master of Puppets would seal the first night for me. That's without mentioning Creeping Death and Harvestor of Sorrow.

Got amazing sound where I was. Must depend on the phasing of the arrays.

The first band were diabolically uncomfortable to be in the same stadium as, Gojira sounded much better and the audience immediately woke up. Metallica were perfect.

I think we're were in the south east... The sun burned the eyes out of me all through Gojiras set

This just wasn't the crowd for Knocked Loose. Hardcore is a very specific crowd and if that isn't present it all just falls flat. If you look at the crowds during their festival gigs it's like night and day

I'm utterly stunned they played Call of Cthulhu, Nearly in tears stunned.

Great show tonight, I preferred it overall to night 1 (not complaining about Friday at all btw, a really solid show in itself).

Second time seeing both nights and overall I’d say it was better than the last time I saw this format 2 years ago.

Crowd around me seemed more knowledgable and up for it than Friday too which always adds to the atmosphere.

Yes, the salary is enormous, I understand that, but that doesn't affect my soul.

Sound where I was for Gojira was crap I could barely hear Joes vocals. I was blown away by Marios drumming. Would love to see Gojira indoors back here somewhere. There seemed to be a lot more of the crowd in for them than there was for Pantera on Friday.

In the round setup is great when the band are in front of you but it can get quite frustrating watching the songs go past and looking on the monitor for a decent view of anyone. Kirk did his bit looping back around but there was an 8 song gap from screaming suicide till I saw James again for enter sandmen.

Still had a blast as there was a great mosh pit going on right beside me for pretty much the whole gig. Blackened was fantastic. A very intense tug of war for the deflated beach balls too. People nearly coming to blows. Crazy stuff.

One last thing....I had to laugh when I saw the look of concentration on Kirks face when he was reading the chords for Dirty Old Town on the stand in front of him. I think they should ditch the doodle.....hardly counts as a song for the setlist.

Agreed about Gojira, the microphone was barely understandable which is a shame because the band was on fire

When we got there my daughter told me she’d been able to get Snake Pit passes for us through a friend. That is why when your kid says they want to go to music college you say Yes!

Fantastic night - sound went a bit off towards the end but didn’t care at that stage. Preferred this set list to Fridays and Gojira were brilliant.

    Glad tonight went well

There's just different about 'city gigs', pubs within walking distance and a general feel good buzz around the place

Hopefully Metallica return one last time, AC/DC done Aviva then Croke Park, what's to say Metallica can't do the same in time

    Class weekend overall!

My expectations of any stadium show is very low, it all about the spectacle and the 2 gigs didn't disappoint! The buzz around town and the shear volume of sound folks about was top notch. Always enjoyed Metallica but this weekend I feel like I joined a cult

Utterly amazing weekend, took my 9yr old daughter on Friday and we were standing, stood near where the bands come out of the stand, She was given 25 pics in total by all the crew.

Tonight I was alone and went right to the front, knees will hate me in the morning.

WWalked into venue tonight at 18:00 and managed to get a Molly Malone poster, apparently that merch stand was the only 1 who still had them.

Gonna make a nice display with that and the Pop up shop poster.

This gig must have brought millions into the economy

Enjoyed tonight's gig more than Friday. Bigger crowd, better atmosphere. The band were on top form. Knocked Loose were shite. Way too shouty for me. Gojira were brilliant-first time seeing them. Metallica's setlist was great......Call Of Ktulu was a nice surprise. Hope they come back at least once more…?

I'm going to their gig in the academy and their music is lost in that setup, academy will be unbelievable

are there any reputable websites to buy the Irish T-shirts from? Had a Google they look a bit dodgy

I had no luck in pop up shop or merch stands

good night. Not as good as night 1 imo. Possibly colored by the fact I had a two hour drive home afterwards tonight and was able to drink on Friday. But I just felt the set list was better on night one.

I know the sound was shite for Pantera but at least they had songs everyone knew and could sing along to. I actually enjoyed Knocked Loose despite very low expectations but Christ they are very heavy and hard on the ears. I’m quite a big Gojira fan but the sound was awful where I was watching them. I couldn’t make out which song they were playing a few times. They also are very niche compared to Pantera so the crowd wouldn’t know that much and even if you do listen to Gojira their songs are not easy to sing along to.

I would just much prefer a Trivium or Bullet For My Valentine type band as openers. I think they would get the crowd much more involved and be more enjoyable for more people. I think two bands as heavy as that tonight was a bit too much. Would you believe I used to listen to Necrophagist and the like? 😂

I definitely preferred night ones set list. Whiplash, Bells, Lighting was a great opening but the next four songs were a real lull. That doodle Rob and Kirk do is awful. Some great songs later especially Blackened but Moth into Flame has no place near the end of the setlist. It’s just not a great song at all compared to what was before and after it. No run of bangers as consistent as the second half of night one. Also, the pit had a bit of a nastier edge to it tonight compared to Friday. One lad started throwing punches and had to be pulled off a way smaller guy. There were a few really big lads throwing their weight around which is fine but it was friendlier and more fun on Friday and more active I would say because the big guys do scare people off. A good gig all the same but I found myself bored a few times when I never felt that on Friday.
    7/10

Thought tonight was brilliant, crowd was more up for it near me. Managed to make our way up to the front. Not mad on the “in the round” set up. You do get some nice close ups, but when they’re not in front of you it’s a bit crap.

Great weekend overall. Hope we get to see them again one day.

Cannot get over how good tonight was. Crowd around me was insane. Preferred tonight's set, perfromance and crowd. Probably the most fun I've had at a concert? Ventured into the mosh pit for a good 18 seconds and all!

Even though it was just a tease, "...And Justice For All" sounded great 🤣

Seeing "Until It Sleeps" and "Fade to Blavk" live finally is something I'll never forget.

We got 5 songs from Ride the Lightening this weekend. Opening with Whiplash.

Hadn't seen Metallica for 20 years before Friday. Unbelievable couple of days. Absolutely buzzing
