Where for vintage watch servicing?

Hi folks - where on earth can you get a vintage watch serviced these days? Tried two spots in Dublin and both said they aren't taking on any work at the moment. I'd rather go directly to a watchmaker if possible as I'd rather they keep all the money rather than go through a jeweller taking a slice. Any help out there?

You will likely have to package up your watch and post it to them though.

If you want someone to take your watch off you in Dublin these days you will need to walk downstairs in a prominent Dublin jeweller. Long lead times and small places saying no to jobs is pretty normal at present - there are more watches needing work than there are watchmakers.

I've used Emily Nerney in Athy. She has a workshop there you can drop the watch in to her at.
