Don't know if the soundsl is bad but can't understand a word he's singing. The rest of the band seems fine.

Edit: It got a lot better near the end. They really enjoyed it it seems

Gojira were well worth turning up early for, very technical I was impressed.

Yeah the sound was pretty good. The vocals being down in the mix is kinda their style. Drummer is the talisman. Not sure how I feel about the in the round set up. I've my eye on an elevated spot near a drum kit and mic stand that James will have to visit at some point. But wherever you are you're inevitable gonna be looking at someone's back for each song.

I'm not attending the gigs. The amount of fans knocking around town on Saturday was amazing, seemed like every second person was wearing a Metallica t-shirt with a mix of Rugby and GAA heads. There was a couple of buskers on Henry st. doing Nothing Else Matters and a load of fans joined in singing. Great atmosphere.

I mainly bought tickets for Pantera and Gojira. Was gutted about the sound for Pantera, could only make out a handful of songs despite knowing everything on the setlist. Tonight was different. Gojira was crystal clear, very strong set and well worth it.

Hardly a leak, it's basically the same set as night 2 of Budapest

If it ends now, it pisses all over Friday.

Sound is insanely good compared to Friday! What a night!

Oh they play blackened! Always wanted to hear that opening riff played live, hits like a truck.

The beachballs were ridiculous. Nothing says metal like giant f***ing branded beachballs. But otherwise yes, a good gig.

    Just wrapping up now.

Sound in the lower south stand was atrocious. If only for the fact that I'd looked up the setlists in advance i wouldn't have guessed they were paying cthulu, and couldn't decipher it until the outro. And for blackened, probably my favourite Metallica song, the intro tape couldn't be heard where i was. But that was the same for every song, just mushy

I appreciate that stadium gigs can be hard to get the house mix right, but this is their second night here.

Added to that I've seen a better pyro effort from them in the old point depot. Just felt like a dialled in performance all the way. I'm not here for fireworks, but lads, you'd in a stadium, bit of firepower wouldn't hurt.

If I wasn't there and saw the setlist, id be thinking this was a dream gig, having been there though I'm not so sure.

I spent the early songs thinking of ways that i could sneak into the standing, but from my perspective it looked like everyone was just standing in the same spot? No hint of a pit, crowd surf, and bit of a bop?

I know this won't be a popular post, but Metallica were my first concert nearly 30 years ago, life long fan, favourite band, but that just felt bleh...

I was in section upper 516. The sound for me was absolutley incredible and The Call of Ktulu a highlight for me.

I moved around a fair but and the sound quality differed dramatically. Best spot I think was my original spot where they congregated for the first 4 songs. Could hear all instruments clearly there but really muddled elsewhere.

There is something slightly disingenuous about James delivery of lines like "Metallica loves you Dublin" or any of his other cheesy lines. And while the in the round thing was annoying in some ways, it did mean I could get way closer for at least a few songs than if it was a traditional stadium set up, without having to be in a mosh pit.

Been a fan since Black Album and that was my first time seeing them. I actually think James' voice is aging really well, loads of character in his singing. But those huge productions just feel impersonal in some way.

Delighted I went and happy with the set but yeah, can't help feel a certain disappointment too.

Absolutely stellar show. Sound was spot on again.

Both gigs were awesome but i felt friday just edged things out more, the final 7 song run on Friday was just insane, whereas tonight they played some great songs, whiplash, blackened etc but they were very spread and no good run of bangers, finishing on sandman that early with no encore was a bit of a letdown.

they did finish quite early now you mention it. Now it's a Sunday so I'm not really complaining, but could have gotten a few more in
