I feel it in my fingers, I feel it in my toes it's going to be a stunner of a summer day and so the feeling grows😎

Nice out this morning in north Longford. Still some heavy clouds floating by, but loads of sunshine. Looking forward to this spell ahead, looks really promising for the next week.

'A pleasant summer's day with long spells of sunshine'

When is the last time you read that from Met Eireann😂

Unusual morning. Very bright. Blue sky. Sun.

    Leitrim.

Another benign month temperature wise with cool anomalies in the west and warmer anomalies in the east likely to be skewed by a period of unusually mild nights and warm days. Wouldn't be surprised to see June come out at least a degree above average for many now. Will be plenty of lies, damn lies and statistics comments again.

Sunny and warm for Parkrun this morning. No PB today!

I'm heading out west shortly to castlebar for the match. I was wondering would there be chilly westerly breeze 🤔

Very cloudy here in Leitrim but I'll take it.

Be careful what you wish for.

I'm just back from the Loire Valley where temps were a very pleasant 27 to 30⁰. The forecast for that same location in midweek is 42⁰. Thats a goddamned nightmare.

Ireland may well exceed 30⁰ routinely by this time next week, with tropical nights >20⁰ in the inland south and east.

It will probably get quite unpleasant, with high humidity and heat stress warnings for vulnerable people, pets and livestock.

Lovely day in Clare today , felt quite warm around Kilrush , I see Shannon got up to 19.6C, car showing 19.5 to 20C so around that. The breeze was most welcome on the Ferry back to Tarbert.

Just saw the weather forecast on rte. Looks very good for the coming days and potentially a decent warm spell; not quite the temperatures we had earlier in the summer a few weeks back but still looking great.

Nice day in Dublin though as always a cool breeze making it feel a lot colder than I imagine it is a bit further inland. Thankfully my balcony is west facing and well sheltered though so it's been lovely to sit out.

While it's still been nothing special the second half of the month has definitely been a big improvement on the first half around here

Pic from earlier today. I was visiting an old m8 who isn't in good form atm, and the view from his lane is beautiful. It was a pleasant, warm and partly sunny day here but with plenty of heavy cloud at times throughout the day. It got up to 20c in the afternoon. Clouds are gone now and its a beautiful blue sky evening, 17c and not a cloud in sight.

I understand some of the frustrations on the FI thread about the midweek heat being potentially only short lived but I’ll take yesterday and today’s weather any time, particularly when it falls at the weekend. Absolutely perfect Irish summer days. I wouldn’t want to be anywhere else in the world when it’s like this.

Beautiful morning out in north Longford. 17c right now. Priest had a quick mass this morning, 25 mins, said he didnt want us to miss the day when the weather was so good. A bit of cloud about, but mostly sunny and bright. Happy fathers day to all you dads out there.

We had a garden visitor just now.
