Bulls have been abject, a few calls in the second half they can feel aggrieved with that might have made a bit of a difference but Leinster the deserved winners.

If you think the Bulls are abject though, have a look at the score in the Top14 semi

The spontaneous stuff is still done with lots of time and go forward ball so not independently

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 922 ✭✭✭HanShotFirst

    It’s great

I would have given it to a forward myself

    Maybe Conan or Deegan

    Never in doubt.

Glad there's a team with a worse record in finals out there 😅

    Credit to the coaches.

The Pretoria Blue Balls edging at another final. They just can't get there.

Deegan motm for me. Won't quibble with the award going to Sam though. Over these URC knockouts Prendergast has shown how far ahead he is of Byrne and Frawley as a playmaker. His range of passing and kicking is levels above. He also needs to be commended for his mental resilience as well. The online and in person hate campaign against him has been nothing like I've ever seen.

Harry has been decent this season, but at the highest level has been found wanting. Thought he was poor against Toulon and even worse against Bordeaux. He didn't have an easy ride in the final, but the things in his control were executed poorly eg the restart kicked out on the full and the intercept pass which led to a Bordeaux score.

I hope we actually fully commit to Sam next season. He clearly has work to do on the defensive side of his game, but his upside is so much greater than any Irish 10, I think.

Great performance with some standouts. Deegan, McCarthy. VdF, Conan. Well done Sam Prendergast though. Great resilience considering the absolute poison directed at him. Really pleased for him.

Might be completely misreading the room but felt like Sam had a bit of an edge with the media there.

Leinster the first side to win back to back league titles in the URC era. Not an easy thing to do, but we've managed it.

Nienaber deserves a lot of credit for this achievement. Succeeded where Lancaster repeatedly failed in the latter's final few seasons as Leinster coach. Stuart lives a charmed life really. Frequently had his Leinster side, a stronger one than the current iteration, underperforming in the biggest knockout games.

Super win for Leinster. Think Bulls had 12 Springboks in their starting 15 with 6 in the pack and a double World Cup winning 10.

Deegan was excellent. Delighted for him.

Delighted Sam proved his doubters wrong again.

Lovely touch with the medal presentation

And the stadium announcer has ruined the medal giving ceremony with all the awareness of a blind ostrich.

The trophy is so ridiculously clunky. Looks they're carrying a warhead

Almost 40k was a great turn out, much more than id imagined.

The guys leaving I think had a lot to do with that.

    Great atmosphere

No, definitely got that vibe. No harm for him to develop a bit of grumpy bollox-ness.

Thought Joe McCarthy was excellent again. Been Leinster's most consistently good player since the Six Nations. Maturing into the world class player we know he has the talent to be.

We're really in a strong spot with him and Ryan's form. One of the best lock pairs in the world at the minute imo.

Well done to Leinster. It can't have been easy after Bordeaux. Completely on top for the first 55 minutes. Bulls were very negative, did a lot of box kicking.

Best game I have seen Deegan play. McCarthy played well. Sam impressed. Bulls can consider themselves very unlucky not to be awarded at least one extra try and got very little reward for their dominance in the scrum. Cahir did play well though.

Porter, Boyle, McCarthy, Snyman, Baird all injured.

Doris and TOB also going off injured. As Andy Farrell would say: "it was a very pleasing performance"
