    Hi,

Im sure that this has been discussed before but cant find any.

Im thinking on getting a radio set up in my parlour.

What would be a good radio to get. must have AM, FM, DAB+ Bluetooth optional. Must be able to have speakers connect to it as will.

If you want you can show you set up here too.

Spotify and Bluetooth waterproof noise cancelling headphones.

Not exactly what you are asking about but I think they are tidy and you can listen to all the podcasts when milking and answer phone calls. My parlour is noisy enough and it's saving my hearing that way too.

This is where I bought mine. Though they are not in stock atm.

Sounds weird but I find the stock are more likely to be calmer when you are wearing them. They'll approach you in the field and calves no bother either. It's like to me they get a sense of serenity off you.

Now where's my buddist noise bowls..

How do you hear if a cow kicks off a cluster with those though, would bone conduction headphones be a better job?

I use Bluetooth earphones, just use 1 . Can hear what’s going on around you with the other ear. Can also answer phone calls

Used to have an old radio is the parlour. Newstalk was the only station you were guaranteed to get. Have a cheap set of Bluetooth headphones now. Be lost without them. In the window youd nearly do without the hat!

SaSaw a nice job lately. It was like a box that you d have on a fuse board in with a car radio faced down in the bottom of it and a big car speaker in the door of it.would cost a few pound but seemed a good job

You could just use a Bluetooth speaker hanging over the pit. I often have top hits from the 90', 00's playing on Spotify. It can put a pep in your step especially for washing up.

The Music is nearly better than podcasts for milking because you can just get the gist of it like and not get every word exactly.
