New wired HKC sabb question

I have a HKC Quantum 70 panel , for the last 11 years it had a wireless sabb. But today I changed the sabb to a wired sabb. All seems fine. But I noticed different behaviour when the lid is opened on the new sabb. With the old wireless sabb, once I had the Quantum 70 in engineer mode, I could open the sabb and it wouldn't…

With the old wireless sabb, once I had the Quantum 70 in engineer mode, I could open the sabb and it wouldn't sound as the system was in engineer mode.
But with the new wired sabb, even if the Quantum 70 is put into engineer mode, the siren sounds if the lid is opened on the sabb.
Is this normal behaviour with the wired sabb?
