Cairn t-shirt arrived today. Absolutely love it. Easily one of my favourite game keepsakes.

I played about 4 hours straight of Cairn last night(normally only get an hour here and there).

I'm close enough to the end I think and I have to say all the hype on here from you and Zero was warranted.

Absolutely loving it and highly recommend.

    UPDATE

Just beat it. What an experience. Everyone needs to try it.

Will probably do another playthrough and get the platinium when the free DLC comes out.

Absolutely amazing, I'm good order mine soon. Not asking for your measurements 😂 but do you find it fits similar to other tshirts you have on the same size?

Also, is the t-shirt a limited time thing? It's kinda making me want to get the game just to have my personalised t-shirt... it's pretty awesome in fairness.

Haha no problem. I really love it. I'm usually between an L and an XL (more towards the latter) and the XL fit perfectly.

Also, no customs charge for it if that helps. 8 days between order and delivery.

After a pain in the hole time of trying to log into an EA account on Steamdeck in order to try play Titanfall 2, finally got to launch the game, only to find I'm stuck on the main menu and can't select any options.

Apparently it's down to issues with the EA launcher in the background on Steamdeck or something. So again, absolute pain in the hole. Had to abandon. Will have to do a bit of further digging into it.

Started Slay The Spire instead. Didn't do too bad for a first run, beat the first boss.

Have to say that I'm getting good enjoyment out of Blades of Fire. A soulslite, but i dropped the difficulty down and now it's more like God of War, albeit with the souls formula. Unlike the souls games, theres a hape of save points (anvils) and it doesn't waste time getting you good weapons to take care of them. Souls fans may enioy it at the higher difficulty, too hard for me and my lack of patience.

Combat is meaty. There are twins blades, twin axes, sabers, swords, greatswords, giant hammers/axes and spears. Attacks are high, low, left and right assigned to the face buttons, and each can be held for a strong attack. Enemies wear armor in different places, if any, and different weapons are required depending on what's covered, or just mash them with the hammers. A fully armored dude with a faceless helmet can be stabbed in the face. It's really well thought out and leads to some serious tactical fights when surrounded by different enemies.

Weapons are crafted, and you unlock stronger ingots and woods to make them stronger. You have to hammer the shape for the first time for each weapon, and the stars you get signify how many times the weapon can be repaired. Inbetween, blades can be sharpened. You also get to name them. On the world you present the weapons to specific statues and that unlocks more options for that weapon, such as longer/shorter shafts, blade types, pommels, etc which affect slash/stab/blunt stats, weight distribution (long hammers with heavy head swings better but consumes more stamina), block/parry ability, stamina and sharpen cost. It's a very unique system and works really well. And it's great to one shot enemies as you progress. Violent if repetative deaths too.

Enemies are plenty and varied enough, depending on how often you save and redo an area. Bosses are typical fare, run/dodge/roll and attack when you can. I'm 11 hours in but feel like it's still early game. Story is good enough to keep you pushing, and the characters are believable and somewhat interesting. Nice visual style too, and gameplay is pretty smooth on PS5 Pro. Recommend people to give it a go if they have Plus as it's currently on there. Don't know if it'll keep me interested, but I'm with it for now.

Oh, also made by the same people who made the Castlevania Lord of Shadows and Metroid Dread. Not sure if that's a good or bad thing though, but they've crafted a solid game with an interesting mechanic.

Played 30 mins of Blades of Fire when trying to decide what game to go to next after Cairn. Didn't grab me but might go back to it for another go before it leaves Plus. Didnt know it was them that made it.

Mercury Steam got petty back in the day when they got a 4.7/10 for a Castlevania 3DS game(Mirror of Fate) and blacklisted IGN from all Castlevania LOS 2 coverage.

LOS1 was okay and from what I played(couple of hours) Metroid Dread was good but not what people wanted.

Mirror of Fate might be one of the worst big budget Metroidvanias but mercury stream have become a much better developer since working with Nintendo on their two Metroid games.

Managed to get Titanfall 2 running by putting the Steamdeck to sleep while on the main menu of the game, then turning it back on again.

Meant I only got a quick few minutes in the tutorial before I had to go do something else, but looking forward to actually getting to play the game now. Always heard great things about the campaign.

It's a campaign that reminds you how good Infinity Ward are and how awful modern fps games have become.
