    We might get a thunderstorm from late afternoon before this unsettled spell clears. North and East might be the favoured spots. Let's see if any develops later

    School holidays today at primary school in my area. I felt sorry for the 6th class graduation send off planned for outdoors. Everyone scrambled indoors .Torrential rain and floods.

    Driving the M7 near Portlaoise at lunchtime and have never seen heavier rain, wipers on full blast and rear fogs for visibility. Dropped speeds to 90km at one stage but still w&nkers flying at 120+
