Of course Fox paint this as a success... But looking at Trump's face, he looks like he's had a stroke

Netanyahu is on the record of being able to play the US like a fiddle. That was pre Trump. Trump was an open goal for Netanyahu.

"Especially now with America - I know what America is... America is something you can easily maneuver and move in the right direction"

It also didn't take much to convince Trump that JCPOA was 'the worst deal ever', he just told him it was Obama's deal. Trump was talking about it in the press conference yesterday.

I must admit Rubio, dildos and lube are not things I would normally think of simultaneously.

Who negotiated this MOU? And how come Trump is agreeing to it?

It is one of, if not the biggest, foreign policy failures ever.

Did nobody ever have any strategic goals? No actual plan apart from sending lots of bombs?

Billions spent, US lives lost, he's fallen out further with allies, Iran have got the US over a barrel.

To read the 14 points of the MOU, it was like it was written by Iran. So who was actually in charge of this?

Agree. Face looks droppy. He did not look well in Paris this week. Slumped in his seat, bearly able to keep his eyes open, looked wobbly on his feet at times. I know jet lag and travelling long haul at 80 years old is tough, but I think this is more than jet lag.

Fitting he is framed by 2 young girls in gold who seem to be performing fellatio for the felon.

So the US got involved in a completely unnecessary and illegal war,
spent billions, and further damaged massively strained relations with
their allies while straining the global economy only to completely
failed in their war aims, and finish with a massive climbdown and a much
worse agreement than the Obama JCPOA.

Agreed, and it's an absolutely lunatic scenario.

The thing is there were people that were giving clear warnings at just how bad all of this war, even back when Trump tore up the JCPOA.

Further, Iran has emerged refreshed with Khamenei 2.0, will be enriched
by US billions, and have much stronger strategic hand in the region,
particularly with regard to Hormuz Strait and having got the US agree to
having its ally Israel desist in its aggression.

Iran, as a nation, has suffered a lot of damage. But the regime has been strengthened beyond their wildest dreams. Not only that, but according to some they still have about 75% of their weapons stockpiles still available to them and they also still have their…"trump" card in their ability to shut off the oil tap.

In blunt terms, as they apply to the US, the whole venture has been a complete disaster of incredible proportion because of Trump's reckless stupidity. Not only that, Israel is involved in forever wars in the middle east because of Netanyahu and his band of headbangers who need constant conflict to remain relevant.

These people are an catastrophic danger to the world. They simply do not care if it burns in their pursuits. They are the worst type to have in charge of nations, especially nations with such far reaching influence and power.

If there's one thing the the rest of us have learned out of all of this, though, is that we need to marginalise the leverage Israel has on US and UK political circles and we need to stop kidding ourselves that America has everyone's best interest at its heart.

This is what happens when you fire all the 'grown ups' who talked sense to Trump in first term and kept him in check… instead it is the yes men, the depraved and the corrupt. They don't need experts, they don't need a plan, all that boring nerdy stuff.

Clear drooping and his eyes also look dull and vacant - I've seen the latter in many older people who were not well, and it's just not a good sign in terms of health and vitality. He appears to be going downhill fast.

Of course there was a plan and all that money and all those US military "losers & suckers" gave their lives to make sure that the front page news wasn't about how Trump is mentioned within the Epstein Files more than anyone else.

This is all about Trump and his utterly short term view of the world. This is about the mid-terms as that's just about as far as Trump can think ahead.

The war is a mess that he can't win and he's getting hammered at home over the impact it's having on prices etc. so he needs it to stop now. He doesn't care how.

He signs this awful MOU and hopes that prices recover enough so that the GOP don't get utterly annihilated in November because if they lose the house and senate , Trump knows he's f*cked so he'll sign anything to get the prices down.

He's already said that he doesn't see the 60 days as a "hard limit" which means he's going to keep kicking this down the road as long as he can in the hopes that it saves his ass in November.

He doesn't care about anything other than himself so the wider implications are totally lost on him.

Vance is being set up to take all the blame - Leaks about Vance being a "big advocate for the deal" etc. all laying the ground work for Vance to get gutted and blamed for every single thing possible.

Let us hope so. But it would be a shame if he never is made to comprend what a debasement of humanity he has inflicted on his own country and the world.

Senile dementia seems too good for him and not enough for us.

He'll NEVER comprehend how awful he is and what damage he has done.

Even if the impossible happens and he was to be prosecuted and convicted for his crimes and stripped of every ill gotten gain he has , spending his remaining days in Prison he will go to his grave absolutely convinced of his perfection and as the most victimised human in history.

Bears mentioning that this disaster of a war has likely set the prospect for Iranians to free themselves from authoritarian rule back by decades. The IRGC will be strengthened by this debacle and Khamenei is a young man who has seen his entire immediate family murdered.

He's more interested in the surrounding royal bling and dreaming of more tat for the WH. Macron knows what makes the oaf drool.

…or as a new distraction, maybe he'll start another war, this time with Cuba?

I doubt it, he was on a serious high after capturing Maduro but Iran has dragged him down.

Just spotted this don't think its old news? Vid posted yesterday.

Wake me up when it's all over.

The reaction to this MOU is really negative, even in places like Fox News. Trump will happily push through it, and I know Vance was out shilling for it before the text was released, but will he find it hard to continue to shill for it when he has his own POTUS run to think of.

    Same for Rubio.

Hegseth has no option; he has nowhere to go. He is probably a goner anyway, just a matter of time I would think, but his only option is to keep batting for Trump.

I don't expect the GOP etc to actually call Trump out or anything, but I think this really hastens how quickly he will be moved aside (in terms of his hold on the party etc)

You'd think Americans would have learned something from their $2 trillion adventure in Afghanistan.

Cuba is too small and weak to pass off as a win. Venezuela has oil and they were able to extricate Maduro. No real way of doing that with Cuba and there are no resources there to justify it. It might also upset a lot of Cuban-Americans in Florida and thereabouts.

Good point. That was decades ago whereas the disastrous withdrawal from Afghanistan happened during covid.

At least there was the appearance of some reasoning behind those. There was never any reason to go to war with Iran, and even less so given the complete lack of any planning or strategy behind it. He never asked Congress, he never let the people know in advance. He just launched the war, and from the moment he gave his briefing, it was clear he didn't have any primary reason.

His first briefing talked about the Iranian people rising up, through thye had to wait a few days as the bombs were falling. Since then, it has had multiple reasons for the war, each lasting as long as the previous one, before they seemingly settled on the nuclear bombs excuse. Which Trump has now discarded, it's only 8th of the 14 pts!

Nobody was asking for this war. He ran on being a POTUS who wouldn't drag them into war. And then when he does, he fails completely and humiliatingly. Whatever about what Americans are prepared to accept, they have always hated a loser. A Trump is very much a loser now. There is nobody to blame here. He will try of course, Bibi, Hegseth, Rubio etc. But Trump made this decision and lived off the 'glory' of being a war POTUS.

I would imagine that there was a reasoning- personal enrichment and dynastic wealth that will continue to enrich many generations of the select families
