Pastors for Trump founder withdraws from US House race after texting scandal

And the next chapter of the high caliber MAGA candidates.

Pastors for Trump founder Jackson Lahmeyer on Wednesday announced he was
ending his bid for Oklahoma’s 1st Congressional District, one day after
he was projected to advance to a runoff for the Republican nomination
in the wake of a texting scandal.

Lahmeyer’s exit comes after a Daily Mail report alleged the pastor had
sent romantic text messages to a woman who is not his wife. After the
story ran Sunday, Lahmeyer acknowledged inappropriate behavior but also
criticized the outlet and the timing of the story’s publication.

And here is a surprise, Dozy Don takes back his endorsement!!!!! WOW

" The lead pastor of Sheridan Church in Tulsa, Lahmeyer
brought together a coalition of pastors to lobby for Trump’s reelection
in 2024. The president rewarded his support with an endorsement in May.

While Trump on Monday reaffirmed his support for Lahmeyer,
he pivoted on Wednesday, announcing that he was instead backing his
runoff opponent, state lawmaker Mark Tedford."

Texting someone who is not your wife - unacceptable

Having sex with a porn star while your third wife was at home with your newborn baby, sexually assaulting a woman and then defaming her, saying that you grab women by the pussy, being friends with and protecting people who raped women - acceptable

everyone in the room knows he is talking utter shite, but everyone has to go along with this make believe nonsense, it’s like some bizarre form of improvisational theatre. I pray someone just calls him out “quit your shite talk old man, your nothing but lies and grievances, nobody believes you and you stink of faeces and death” but instead they let him call everybody fake news and talk about how great he is.
he is looking pale and frail and speaks with a weak voice. It will all soon be over regardless.

    I know....its really quite something isn't it....

One can only hope this profoundly sickening chapter draws mercifully to a close soon and the cretin/this sordid affair is consigned to the deepest darkest recesses of the dustbin of history......

we all know that the deal is ridiculously bad. What are the MAGA people saying?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2, Paid Member Posts: 31,696 ✭✭✭✭looksee

Maga people are saying what he tells them to say. If he says its amazing and the best deal ever, then that's what it is. Facts have absolutely nothing to do with anything.

We will have a certain poster along soon to spin this as a win. This is maybe the ultimate failure for America, a soft surrender if you will.

Now let’s wait and see how Israel treats it.

The MAGA people will buy anything he's selling. More to the point, what are the US media saying? Are they calling this out for the shitshow it is? Some of them are likely to be afraid to do so.

We all knew that if the war didn't go quickly, Trump would get bored. The problem was that there was no easy escape route out of the problem Trump had created.

So Trump has basically thrown Israel under the bus. But this deal is never going to actually work, for one, because Israel hasn't agreed to it and will not stick to it. But what this clearly is is Trump getting out of Dodge.

No matter what happens now, Trump will not be looking to get involved again. The problem is that Iran can simply close the strait again, but IMO Trump will claim that it's not a US problem, he has a MOU afterall, and its up to the rest of the world to sort things out.

This is just a classic Trump move to stiff all his suppliers. He will cut and run and wait for everyone to deal with the fallout.

Peter Doocy: “A wise man once said, in January 2020: ‘Iran has never won a war, but has never lost a negotiation.’”

    President Trump: “Who said that?”

    Reporter: “Donald Trump.”

I play stategy games and I'd quit or restart the game before accepting terms of this nature.

This is the issue of isolating a country like Iran. They have nothing to lose and a very strong card to play.

Possibly apocryphal but I have heard it said that the most googled term the day after the Brexit vote was "What is Brexit". I imagine it's like the turkeys who voted to leave the turkey sanctuary then googling "Who is Bernard Matthews?".

My point is the MAGA who do follow the news, only follow the stations with the positive spin. Bigliest deal ever!

Rubio looks like he has a very sore case of piles….

When Trump started to point out a group of 'Fake News Reporters', Rubio very obviously shifted his body in the opposite direction before snapping back to take peeks occasionally. You can see the pressure is getting to him, as despite him being a loathsome lying toad in bed with the most corrupt US administration ever, he does seem to have half a brain. He knows the eyes of the world are on him too - he's completely complicit in everything.

He's also thinking of his chances of salvaging a 2028 presidential bid.

His face gives truth to the axiom that the dildo of consequences rarely arrives lubed!

Correct enough, but you're forgetting the role Israel has played in dragging Trump around by the nose.

Simply put, without Israel's constant lies this war wouldn't have happened at all.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 1,126 ✭✭✭RickBlaine

My understanding is that Israel has been trying to get America involved in a military conflict with Iran for decades but no previous president was stupid enough to do so

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2, Paid Member Posts: 12,442 ✭✭✭✭J Mysterio

And Trump being the dumbest US president ever fell for the lies despite the US CIA Chief calling them 'farcical' and Rubio proclaiming them as "bullshit".

    https://www.timesofisrael.com/liveblog_entry/report-before-war-top-us-officials-told-trump-that-netanyahus-regime-change-plan-was-bullshit-farcical/

So the US got involved in a completely unnecessary and illegal war, spent billions, and further damaged massively strained relations with their allies while straining the global economy only to completely failed in their war aims, and finish with a massive climbdown and a much worse agreement than the Obama JCPOA.

Further, Iran has emerged refreshed with Khamenei 2.0, will be enriched by US billions, and have much stronger strategic hand in the region, particularly with regard to Hormuz Strait and having got the US agree to having its ally Israel desist in its aggression.

The last point looks set to force a US decision on Israel - if Netanyahu and his psychotic cabinet don't desist - wil Trump suspend arms for example? There will surely be another "what the **** are you doing?" phone call from Trump to Netanyahu.

Trump doesn't understand that the real world isn't a game where you can get to restart if you fuck things up because he's someone that's failed upwards all of his life due to having a great start handed to him in terms of wealth. He's always had people around to clean up his messes and to ease his path for him.

People like him just don't live in the real world and, pretty much anyone with even half an eye on middle eastern affairs, would have told you that attacking Iran (at the behest of a psychopathic loon like Netanyahu) was a really, really, bad idea.

Now Trump just thinks he can sign some document and the whole thing will just go away, like he thinks he's made all the other past fuck up's he's done go away.

But they really haven't gone away.

    Pretty much.

However, every American President also wishes to keep Israel sweet, because they're a useful wild animal to let loose should the US really want to kick things off over there in the future when cheap oil really is winding down.

Every American President has wanted to knock Iran out of the game, but that would take a long war, a lot of money and many US lives to do. We've seen over the past several months just how costly a short war with Iran is, so imagine an Vietnam-style drawn out conflict over there.

But, as you say, they haven't been stupid enough to drag their nation into such a war.

Now along comes Trump, who isn't the sharpest knife in the drawer, and Netanyahu convinces him on the back of barefaced lies that war with Iran is a good idea and they're ready to fold. I wouldn't be at all surprised if it was Netanyahu who convinced Trump to tear up the JCPOA too.

Netanyahu, himself, is probably in sheer disbelief at how unbelievably gullible Trump is.
