Ah sure it was a great day out. 19c in the afternoon here. So different to do anything when you get days like this. Got some fields topped off this evening after work and stock moved to new grass before the rain tomoro. No wellies today.

Yeah, a few weeks ago during the dry spell. I have some on an out farm to do yet, maybe next week as I believe we are getting a good week ahead.

Did anyone else get an unreal sunset about an hour ago? Annoyed that I didn’t get a picture of it, the oranges and reds were glowing really strongly

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 1,214 ✭✭✭Robwindstorm

No, I was expecting something but the cloud cover rolled in too quickly in my area and spoilt it.

Yes, was a nice unexpected red sky but looked at the cloud type and stuck around. Pic from Howth.

Yes I took a couple of snaps. Pic 1 is looking west towards sunset pic 2 is looking east, I thought it unusual for the glow to be in both directions.

Damp morning in north Longford. Not heavy rain.

Thought Tuesday and yesterday were two mild days.

Was in Dublin on Tues and didn't need to wear a jacket, but got back home to Midlands in early evening and there was a mildly cold breeze.

Yesterday was lovely. The red sky at sunset was a beauty 😍

Here's hoping temps go up and we get a decent spell of nice warm weather before the Autumn comes around.

I see that some of the charts are pointing to temperatures in the 30s next week yet Met Eireann are forecasting cool and unsettled conditions through the middle of next week. We’re heading to the sunny South East for a break on Monday so a bit of sun and warmth would be most welcome.

Met Eireann have unsettled outlook next week and yet the latest ECM shows very warm settled weather. All the major models pointing to a very warm week ahead, possibly hot. If ECM is the most benign on temps it's still very good. Let's, see over the next three runs. OK today and tomorrow look pretty crappy but heads up people, its improving over the weekend.

I was looking at that. Met app says unsettled week ahead and long-range forecast says warm mostly dry week ahead. Jesus, which is it? 😀

Met eireanns forecast is based on last nights ecm run ,they might update the forecast today if they feel dis mornings ecm run is correct ,uncertainty reigns at the moment

Cloudy day yesterday. Rain over night and drizzle this morning. 14C.

    Leitrim

They’ve changed the ‘forecast’ this morning to reflect what they’ve seen out the window and have said turning warmer next week at least on the 755am radio one forecast anyway

Needless to say the 7 am to 11am thunderstorms and heavy rain on their app last night for my area this morning did not happen,it’s a nice start here in Arklow, cloudy and breezy now but we had some milky sunshine,it’s bone dry and we had no rain

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 7,598 ✭✭✭OldRio

Steady rain in south Leitrim at the moment. Temperature dropped noticeably.

The rain just moved in here too, looks set to last a while now going by the radar. Heavy right now.

Absolute horrendous day in the midlands today. Just unlucky to be under that trail of rain all day long. Downpour after downpour currently and tonight and tomorrow look worse.

Grey, muggy sticky 19°C here in East Clare..better than the rain we had earlier.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 4,107 ✭✭✭DellyBelly

Not a bad day in Dublin today. Bit breezy but very muggy and warm. BBQ might get another airing this evening me thinks
