Brian Dowling and Arthur Gourounlian , the attention seeking is off the scale with these two .They will happily flog their kids for attention and post their photos all over social media

Every time I see her mentioned here, I rewatch the clip of her walking on to the Tommy Tiernan interview in that red dress with those legs and everything is forgiven.

"sneaking regarder" = everyone who highlighted ethnic cleansing by British scum

I suppose you think clerical child sex abuse and the flattening of Gaza are hoaxes 🙄

    True.

How she ended up with David Mitchell though, another for this list.

    Since it's football season :

David Baddiel, struggling to understand his appeal.

Of course it was David Baddiel who got Victoria Coren and David Mitchell together. I don't mind Victoria and David Mitchell…but I wouldn't be a fan of David Baddiel.

Roddy Doyle, such a smug punchable face, never had any interest in reading any of books as the films of The commitments and The Snapper weren't great despite them being considered classics by seemingly everyone else in Ireland they did nothing for me, really overhyped imo.

David Beckham. What a ₱®1©k! The state of him with his manky tattoos, dyed hair and self-obsession. He was never an all-time great, not even close, but he's in ads that attempt to put him in that category. He's in ads for McDonald's, Pepsi and Stella Artois during this World Cup.

To me, the British media latched onto him and Victoria at the time Charles and Diana split, another disgusting couple. The only thing I would say in their favour(David and Victoria) is that they surrounded themselves with well chosen PR people that made them mountains of money. Victoria can't sing to save her life, but underneath it all she was a world class fashion designer waiting to be discovered. 🤣🤣🤣

They were barely dating when Diana died. The media latched on to them as she was the first Spice Girl to get an A list boyfriend; and the only one where it wasn't a chaotic mess (e.g. Eddie Murphy and even Christian Horner to some extent, for the others)

Beckham is hideously overrated as a footballer; and Posh can't do anything she has tried to do. Can't sing, can't do fashion design, can't be a perfumer. Isn't a competent momager to her kids, considering the first of them ran away.

To be fair to him the media also came after him after the 98 World Cup and that's not really spoken about all that much. imo the fact he's a man means people don't talk about it.

He was a good player but i don't know why the hype around him started etc

Victoria however has no talent of any type whatsoever. Yet that's rarely actually spoken about.

A deeply unlikeable pair as well. Beckham has no personality and he'll suck up to any dubious regime for cash.

As well as having zero talent Posh was always a scowling, charmless personality vacum. Out of the Spice Girls I could never stand her, Mel B and Ginger, all egotistical divas.

They must have some inexplicable talent, to get as far as they have.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 16,551 ✭✭✭✭AndyBoBandy

"Brand Beckham" is so big now that it would actually be impossible for them to shut it all down, wind it up, walk away and enjoy a retirement of lavish luxury…

Matt Chapman, an obnoxious tv racing presenter arsehole, who continuously butts in to try and create controversy with subjects he knows very little about.

Surrounding themselves with people who actually have talent, that used their faces and names to create their brand.

So many people piling on the Beckham bandwagon, it has jumped past the "someone you inexplicably can't stand" to be someone, or a pair, or a family that its easy to dislike.

He did well to recover from the 1998 "kicking-out-at-Diego-Simeone" debacle alright, as referenced above.

People who are famous for being famous remind me of those who are capable of making a great impression at job interviews but are totaly useless at doing the actual job they got hired to do are end up being unshiftable liabilities.

Killer Bob. Imagine getting off on terrorising people by feeding off their own pain, sorrow, and misery, then making them commit desperately horrific criminal acts against their friends and family.

What an awful excuse for a human being he is.

I don't get all the hate for Beckham tbh! Always came across well and likeable. Okay, so he wasn't the best footballer ever, or even of his generation, but was still well above average, and no one can begrudge him for making the most of his career.

Just a small personal anecdote. Years ago, my family and I were at a Leeds v Man Utd. game. Waited outside to see/meet players afterwards. Beckham was the only one to come near the fans, gave autographs and stood in for photos (this is an era before selfies). This was at the height of his fame too. Always respected him for that.

Proper interviewers will never get taken in by them. And employers should have probationary periods to allow them to get rid of wasters like that, if they do slip through an interview.

Harry Styles. I've no idea what he looks or sounds like but he's made my commute miserable over the past week and a bit.

I've heard several similar anecdotes about him from his time in Manchester. Always seemed to be liked and appreciated by staff.

I agree he was never close to being the greatest footballer of his generation but that hype came from the media, not him. He made the most of what he had and worked his arse off. Have a lot of respect for the way he forced his way back into Madrid team under Capello.

He's undoubtedly way too willing to be a shill for anyone and anything though.

He took 50 million pounds from Qutar to be the face of that world cup. More than 6000 people/slaves died making the stadiums for that world cup. He is a shallow money hungry soulless gimp who raised a family of lazy useless no talent wasters.

He only met fans and did charity work so he could get the knighthood he so desperately wanted, same reason he queued for hours to see the Queens dead body.

The person I inexplicably can't stand is Shane Daniel Byrne. Something about him really annoys me. Actually, now that I think about it, I listened to him on David O'Doherty's podcast with Max Rushden and I thought he was grand on that. Maybe I just inexplicably can't stand looking at him.

You should watch the Australian comedy series Utopia. Loads of that sort of thing in it. It can be frustrating but funny, cringe-inducing, humorous, annoying and at times hilarious. I liked it, anyway.
