The ICJ (hears disputes between States) is part of the UN. ICC (prosecutes individuals) is not. However, the ICC and UN cooperate closely by agreement.

The ICJ can rule that a state has committed Genocide. The ICC can find an individual guilty of War Crimes (e.g committing genocidal acts).

Even the Oslo Accords are being revoked.

Israeli Finance Minister Bezalel Smotrich, on 15 June, formally revoked the 1997 Hebron Protocol, stripping Hebron Municipality and Islamic endowments of planning and construction rights in the occupied West Bank city of Hebron.

Finalized Monday night by Israel's Higher Planning Council following a security cabinet vote, the move transfers jurisdiction over development, infrastructure, and preservation in the Old City and the historic Ibrahimi Mosque to Israeli authorities, with Israeli officials framing the change as a “historic correction.”

During an inauguration for a new illegal settlement in the southern Mount Hebron area, Smotrich stated, “For many years, one of the most absurd clauses of the Oslo Accords remained in place, when authorities related to the Jewish settlement in Hebron were dependent on Hebron's terror municipality.”

The decades-old Hebron Agreement, signed by Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and the late PLO chief Yasser Arafat, had divided the city into Palestinian-governed H1 and Israeli-controlled H2, which includes the Old City, the Ibrahimi Mosque, and Israeli settlements.

The revocation effectively dismantles key Oslo Accords provisions, placing the Ibrahimi Mosque under full Israeli administrative control, and coincides with intensified military raids and imposed curfews in Hebron neighborhoods.

Israel has chosen the path of alienating the rest of the world by its policies of colonialism in the West Bank and Gaza and now Lebanon and Syria. Bibi is the Putin of the Middle East. The one who's drives millions from their homes. The nickname "Bibi" reminds me of "Idi" Amin", another brutal leader who fell after an illegal invasion, in his case of Tanzania. He also had superstitions like believing he knew the date when he would die. Unlike Bibi he didn't have a blank cheque from the US but superstitious beliefs are a factor in the support of Evangelicals for him. Like Idi Amin thought he knew when he would die, the Christian fundamentalists believe that a conflict involving Israel will trigger the Second Coming/End of the World.

A stark contrast to Ireland, another small nation that instead chose international engagement, bridge building, peace making.

Separately Travelodge apologising to a Jewish person who complained about "Free Palestine" being displayed on a screen in a Travelodge manor House.

According to a 2025 report from the Institute for Jewish Policy Research, 40% of adult British Jews say Israel’s actions in Gaza have weakened their attachment to the state, 51% say this conduct clashes with their Jewish values, and 24% of 20 to 29-year-olds identify as anti-Zionist.

    Possibly not:

    Haaretz:
With his Religious Zionism party still performing poorly in election polls, Finance Minister Smotrich said on Tuesday that planning and construction powers in the city of Hebron have been transferred to Israel's Civil Administration in the West Bank, which is under his purview.

In his announcement, the minister said he "canceled the Hebron Agreement," a protocol signed in 1997 by the Palestine Liberation Organization and a Netanyahu-led government, under which Israel ceded most military control of the city. According to Smotrich, the Civil Administration will now oversee planning and building permits across parts of Hebron, expanding Israeli administrative control over functions handled by the Palestinian municipality.

"For years, one of the most absurd Oslo clauses remained in place, where powers over Jewish settlement in Hebron and holy sites were dependent on the 'terror municipality' of Hebron. We put an end to it," Smotrich said.

Not long after, Israel's Foreign Ministry said that "contrary to the Finance Minister's statement, the Hebron Agreement has not been canceled."

The ministry explained that in February, Israel's security cabinet "adopted a decision that specifically concerns jurisdictions in the field of planning and construction with regard to the Jewish community in Hebron and Jewish heritage sites," adding that "beyond that, no changes have been made."

Novara media reports a Labour MP accused by Owen Jones and others of trying to coax Green leader Zach Polanski into expressing support for Palestine Action. Even expressing such support carries a 14 year jail sentence in the UK.

Progress - do we actually know who settlers who emigrate to Israel really are? Was he spooked by the finger-printing?

    https://www.palestinechronicle.com/us-visa-difficulties-force-ben-gvir-to-cancel-trip-reports/

Israeli National Security Minister Itamar Ben-Gvir has canceled a planned trip to the United States after encountering difficulties obtaining a visa from the US Embassy, according to Israeli media reports.

The cancellation, first reported by Channel 12 News and later detailed by Haaretz, comes days after revelations that the far-right minister intended to travel to the United States on a trip financed by a wealthy Israeli businessman living in Miami.

According to the reports, Ben-Gvir had been instructed to appear at the US Embassy on Monday for fingerprinting procedures as part of the visa process. He subsequently decided to cancel the trip.

Neither Ben-Gvir nor US authorities publicly clarified whether the cancellation was directly linked to the visa difficulties.

This doctor's crime was actually doing video messages about what Israel were doing in Gaza.

Criticism as Israel extends detention of Gaza doctor

A decision by Israel’s top court to deny the release of a prominent Gaza doctor has been condemned as a "profound moral and legal failure".

Dr Hussam Abu Safiya has been held without charge or trial since December 2024, when he was detained by the Israeli military while serving as the director of the Kamal Adwan Hospital in northern Gaza.

Yesterday, Israel’s Supreme Court rejected an appeal to release the 52-year-old, who is being held under the country’s controversial ‘Unlawful Combatants Law’.

The court based its decision on what were described as "confidential materials" that were not shared with Dr Abu Safiya or his lawyer, Nasser Odeh.

He led the Kamal Adwan Hospital through an 85-day siege by the Israeli military, releasing videos in which he pleaded for support and supplies. One of his most notable videos was recorded after a drone strike killed his son near the hospital.

What are they doing in the Hyacinth house?

Presumably his convictions for terrorism and racism had something to do with it.

But it certainly looks like all was going ok until he was asked for his fingerprints.

The penny has dropped with the American public as to the true nature of Israel. The amount of abuse the terrorist state and Netanyahu are taking on US social media is unprecedented, especially the way they are being blamed for the Iran war fiasco.

It's really only radicalised hardcore extremists who are still defending them and clinging to the "Only democracy in the Middle East" and "Fighting for their very survival" nonsense.

Starry: Below Iconic Image is of Dr Hussam Abu Safiya. - wearing his white medical coat. This image has become a global symbol of ...PALESTINIAN MEDICAL RESILIENCE... against the National Zionist Government’s genocide.

And, since 7/10, Israel has been shielded from accountability by consecutive US admins - Biden & Trump.

On 27 December 2024, around 6 AM, “a voice from a quadcopter hovering over the hospital summoned Dr. Hussam Abu Safiya”.

Paediatrician and Director of Kamal Adwan Hospital Dr Hussam Abu Safiya walks alone to the approaching IDF tank in Northern Gaza. Hussam introduced himself to IDF inside the Israeli tank. He wanted to convey to them only patients and civilians remained in the Hospital. IDF had laid siege to Kamal Adwan Hospital.

“In the early hours of December 27, 2024, the walls of Kamal Adwan Hospital in northern Gaza shook as Israeli forces dropped bombs nearby. By sunrise, bulldozers had flattened the earth leading to the entrance and Israeli tanks were closing in. Snipers surrounded the complex. Inside, 350 patients, doctors, nurses and their families huddled in the hallways.
    [...]
“A photo of Dr. Abu Safiya approaching the tank has become an iconic symbol of Israel’s merciless assault on Gazaand of Palestinian resilience. He returned to the hospital shortly afterwards. By nightfall, Kamal Adwan had been emptied and shut down by the Israeli military. Dr. Abu Safiya and all the men inside were detained.

Seems the "special relationship" with US is under a lot of pressure since the US realised they've been played like a fiddle by Israel:

    Haaretz straplines:

U.S. Vice President JD Vance fired back at Israeli ministers' criticism of the U.S.-Iran agreement in an interview with The New York Times on Thursday, saying that "you can't just kill your way out of solving every single national security problem that you have."

Netanyahu, according to Vance, has not criticized the deal himself because he is "a little bit more familiar with the details of what's in it." The VP added that "we've done a very good job by" Israel and "that particular government, and I think that the idea that we've made a terrible deal is not supported by the facts."

The interview also marked the first time a senior Trump official called out ministers Smotrich and Ben-Gvir by name, who have been particularly vocal in their opposition to the agreement, as Vance asked what their " exact proposal " is instead.

Ben-Gvir later responded on X, writing that "this is the proposal: To deal with the Nazis of the 21st century, just as the United States dealt with the Nazis of the 20th century."

Vance also said "Donald J. Trump is the only head of state in the entire world who is sympathetic to the nation of Israel at this moment in time, and he happens to be the head of state of the world superpower."

It's almost hilarious to hear a senior US official concede that Israel is the most hated country in the world (an obvious statement of fact).

Vance going in really heavy on Israel in a TV interview : I'd say he is even more hated by them than Trump is now ☺️

I predicted a week or so ago that Israel was running out of road.

Looks like they've reached it now.

Things will likely go poorly for Israel now. The US as a staunch ally probably gave them some protection from any other nations who wished to take action against them, but didn't for fear of US retribution. Perhaps that fear is gone now and we could see ever increasing sanctions on Israel.

I'd imagine being pro-Israel right now is very uncomfortable. Israelis who abhor their govt. must be mortified.

On 1 September 2025, a little-noticed administrative decision by the financial regulator of one of Europe's smallest countries set off a legal storm that is still building.

The regulator, Luxembourg's Commission de Surveillance du Secteur Financier (CSSF), approved a prospectus for Israel's diaspora bond programme allowing it to sell its "Israel Bonds" to retail investors across the European Union.

These bonds were explicitly marketed with the slogan "Stand with Israel. Israel is at War" – and the opportunity for Luxembourg to approve them came about due to growing outrage and accusations of genocide faced by Israel over its actions in Gaza.

For years, the bond programme had been anchored in Ireland, with its central bank serving as its regulatory home. But sustained parliamentary and civil society opposition in Dublin - linking the bond sales to the financing of military operations in Gaza - created enough pressure that the issuer of the bond, the US-based Development Corporation for Israel (DCI), sought a transfer.

Death of a commander of the IDFs 401st armoured brigade. This unit was responsible for the killing of 6 year old Hind Rajab in Gaza.

Another case where British jury refuses to convict Palestine Action activists.

One very good thing indeed about the regime falling out of favour with the US is that it will make it much easier for European and other western governments to distance themselves from them. Such countries can say "Even Trump hates them" if anyone tries to challenge them on no longer wishing to be close to the israelis or calling them an ally.

The mask certainly slipped there !

The Tel-Aviv regime boasts more than it's fair share of disgusting excuses for human beings - but there's none more objectionable than the vile Danny Danon.

Delighted to see someone put this repugnant creature back in his box.

I hope the UN proves more principled than Sky News who caved in to Danon's bully-boy tactics.
