Looking at the Iran deal and its aftermath, has Trump just shafted Netanyhu? Totally in line with how Trump has treated supposed allies and friends.

Reminds me of how Hitler once tried to shaft his bestie, J.V. Stalin. 😎

Trump wants OUT of Iran , he's bored and he knows he can't win , so he wants to sign a shittier version of the Obama deal and get the hell out of Dodge.

He wants to exit Iran and Israel are in his way to doing that.

Trump has no friends , no allegiance to anyone or anything other than himself so he will now throw "Bibi" under the bus just as he has done with every single other person who thought he was on their side.

I mean here's another example where trump deserves praise. He's bang on the money here with Israel.

    https://www.bbc.com/news/articles/cqx10xlje1lo

I'm not in the slightest bit surprised by this. Always thought it'd be a target. Thank God they foiled the plot.

I'm on the verge of a site ban. Please don't rage bait me, I'm easily triggered especially late at night!

    No..

    No he F*cking doesn't.

He couldn't give a shít about any of the countless thousands of innocent people that the Israelis have murdered.

He isn't saying this because he cares about the people in those apartments , he's saying that because Israel are in his way to being able to pretend like he won another war.

And also - I wouldn't believe a word out of Patels mouth… The "plot" they allegedly thwarted is basically the plot of "White House down" ffs.

The holding of an event in order to support those who are continually victimized in society is divisive?

In what f**king planet could that be considered decisive?

    Oh, that's right. MAGA society.

Anyone who considers that divisive can go and get f**ked.

Iranians should include Netanyahu being sent to the ICC in their list of requirements for a deal

    That link doesn't mention Israel.

Trump's promotion and enabling of their genocide does not deserve praise. I'm curious as to why you think it does.

No doubt , but think Hegseth is ahead of him in the "who's next to get fired" stakes.

As the mockery and abuse start to pile up for the abject disaster that has been the Iran war , Trump will want a scapegoat and Hegseth is the most likely to take the hit , Rubio will dodge the bullet for now at least.

I posted the question below on Google…. Did+trump+post+this+on+Truth+Social.+"This+Great+Deal+will+bring+Peace+and+Security+to+the+whole+Region.+Many+presidents+have+tried+to+make+Peace+with+Iran%2C+and+all+have+failed+before+me. Maybe this will be helpful.

It's possible that some-one has inserted the quote onto Truth Social. Edit: it look's like the original Trump quote was hijacked and altered to fit in mention of the Nobel Peace Prize.

What was your favourite bit? The guy calling Michelle Obama a man, or the fist-fights that broke out in the crowd during the event?

Trump: "This agreement is about one thing -- that Iran will never have a nuclear weapon. Never ever ever. The rest of it is irrelevant, frankly."

No. No - it absolutely is relevant.

What are the details Donald? Why did you go on an "excursion" without Congress approval? Why did those service men die? How much did it cost the American tax payer? What are the differences between the deal negotiated by Obama and this? Tell us all how the world is a better place now for your actions.

All of these details are absolutely relevant you utter imbecile.

Until there's any meaningful action taken against Israel by the US, we can all mark these little outbursts down as performative.

Turn off the weapons tap and then we should take things a little more seriously.

The following will more than likely be the case for the foreseeable future re the Middle East

    (1) Israel will not abide by any of Trump’s instructions . And even if it did it could create a flash flag event and which it will retaliate and disproportionally at that . It has ‘loads of experience ‘at this. The only hope here is if there is a radical change in the next government eg a n agreed seperate Palestinian state

    (2) Trump’ s comment today that the Israeli strike on Beruit was a bit disproportionate to what Hisbullah did.mthis indicates to me that the US is still ok with Israeli ‘retaliation’ as long as it is in proportion. In other words the US will continue supporting Israel

(3)/ Israel will make sure that the current MOU and agreements reached from it will not hold. Why? Because if Israel continue to attack Lebanon, Iran will close Hormuz to traffic

    (4) Israel wantIran totally ‘neutered’ and will keep going until that is achieved unless it’s gov does a complete u-turn and the issues are solved through negotiation

The Irish Times take on the "celebrations"…

    https://www.irishtimes.com/world/us/2026/06/15/welcome-to-donald-trumps-80th-birthday-cage-fight-the-most-american-thing-ive-ever-seen/

As ever with Trump, the event has caused a deep and profound division among Americans.

    But the story gets better.

    image.png

Dylan Patterson flew up from Tennessee with two friends of his. “I got two buddies in Washington in the army and they got us tickets,” he said.

“This is a once-in-a-lifetime event. I don’t want to make it political at all. But last night was the most American thing I’ve ever seen in my entire life. They shot off fireworks behind the Monument singing Born In the USA. Just the most American thing I’ve seen.”

Patterson cradled his beer and gave a low chuckle when asked if he was here to celebrate the big birthday also.

“I’m here for the event. Trump turning 80 ... he’s doing an okay job but politicians, either party, they don’t care about the middle man. You make less than a million a year and they don’t care about you.

“Hear me out,” he continues. “Liberals are pushing for healthcare for everybody. I agree with healthcare for everybody. If you can pass a drug test. And if you can prove you are a citizen. It should be an American right to have healthcare for everybody. Why do I want to pay for you to go to the doctor if you are going to get high on cocaine all day? Now, weed’s a little different. I don’t smoke weed. But weed’s a little different."

"But we need to get somebody in office who doesn’t care about inside. I don’t know who that is. We all thought it was Trump at first. That’s why every Republican voted for Trump – because he was not a politician. And he has become one. So bad. You need someone to run for office who doesn’t care about money.”

TLDR - Play stupid games, win stupid prizes.

Trump has ABSOLUTLY no patience. It’s either his way or no way. This MOU could be his get out of jail card saying “ that if ye do not agree with this then I can do no more so I will leave it up to yearselves to solve yer little skirmish’ ‘ And , by the way, Netanyahu, you have no cards’!

    I thought the

At the 60 days was , amongst other things , was about how the whole nuclear issue is to be managed?

I don't know, you get the feeling there's a bit of sea change in the US regarding Israel.

MAGA was always supposed to be America 1st, no more wars, and there seems to be a growing sentiment that Israel dragged them into this, provided intelligence that it'd be an easy regime change, but suffered the least collateral damage regarding Iran at least.

The attacks on Lebanon have often occurred at sensitive times when Trump was getting his ceasefire done, and seemed the deliberate to keep things rolling, same as how the Israeli attack on an Iranian refinery lead to Iran responding against Gulf State refineries. All designed be Isreal to escalate. Americans have noticed this.

And Trump has definitely noticed Netanyahu ignoring his demands for no more attacks on Lebanon, thay crosses Trump's lines and defies TRUMP!!

Israel can claim independence and not needing America, but they know they do; and they know Trump can be erratic. He could easily embargo arms going to them, saying American stockpile are too low. The Iron Dome system would be useless without patriot missile supplies.

And there are lots of reports online that Israel were all set for a massive air offensive on Iran that was cancelled at last hour, due to Trump's demands. That shows they are nervous about defying him.

There's a big spotlight on Netanyahu now - the MOU is supposed to say clearly they need to get out of Lebanon - which will be unpopular in Israel after the sacrifices they made to take it, but Iran is happy to close Hormus again of they don't and say America cannot be trusted, while Americans watch Israel drag them back into an v unpopular war; if Israel don't comply. And Trump is now showing how annoyed he is with them, so is watching them.

America twice invaded two Middle Eastern countries on the basis of having evidence they had either of weapons of mass destruction or nuclear weapons. Even if Iran had a nuclear bomb every one knows it’s no use as they would be obliterated if they used it.

Would love if the G7 presidents grilled Trump on why he declared war on Iran and loves Putin?

you can but dream. G7 would like to keep trump onside for Ukraine they won’t set out to antagonise him.

Trump taking full credit for Israel and it's actions.
    Israel definitely isn't Obama's fault.
The man really is an inveterate moron.

Oh FFS, if I hear that line 'Trump is not a politician' again…..

It appears to have escaped this thicko's notice that he was first elected President a decade ago. And that's to ignore his years of pushing 'birther' conspiracy theories against Obama before that.
