Got onto Setanta support, they said it's cause there's no verified phone number on the account. Got them to send a new link but… Netflix blocking all VPNs i've tried in both Ukraine & Georgia from redeeming it. 😓

I wonder will they start cancelling other subs (pressure from Netflix??). i doubt Setanta would allow you to use an Irish phone number..

When I signed up I'm sure I needed a Ukrainian phone number, entered some random number in the correct format and not hear from them since! Not sure who's answering the phone to them😄

My next issue is my credit card just renewed and I need to update the details somehow !

Yep - Setanta defo did not need to verify the number. Im not seeing many reports online of people being booted off Netflix from Setanta.

I just got booted off it, it asked to "finish signing up by sending an email" then got an email saying "As you requested, your Netflix account is no longer linked to your Setanta Sports bill. You can continue watching until any available credit runs out."

I certainly didn't request that!

“requested” by Setanta maybe. (Because the random phone number isn’t verified. Do we need to get one of those virtual number services for sms verification? Or will using such numbers be red flagged straight away

Not unusual for streaming platforms to have systems that flag VOIP/virtual phone numbers and cross-referencing user regional data. Perhaps Setanta may be starting to do this and triggering a re-verification process as a result.

Using megogo now, you need a UA VPN to signup to megogo, then can disconnect to link your netflix/HBO accounts - they link fine on Irish IP.
