Hope I'm wrong but I have a feeling it won't be a proper full remake. Hopefully they do it justice. If its somewhat half assed they'll still probably charge 70e for it anyway.

Hoping for alot of Duskbloods gameplay.

Anyone see Belmonts Curse box art? Its the nicest I've seen in a long time.

Right, 6 hours in and i love it! The concept is so unique and it's got such a great mix of sci-fi and soul. When i unlocked the feature to look back at core memories, i thought i was gonna quickly flick through them and move on but they are told so well that i became completely absorbed in Jan's life. And then the cleverness of making Alters by branching paths from core memories. I've become so invested in my 3 Jan's and that's just that 1 dilemma happening in the base. Then there's all the resource collecting, crafting and surviving. I feel like I'm constantly moving to improve all the Jan's mental welfare, base and efforts to escape but it's not a mindless chore (yet anyway).

1 thing that really impressed me is how different the experience was taking to the 1st Alter that was created compared to the 2nd. I honestly thought 'okay, time to have this chat again' but taken back by how different it went.

So impressed, i bought the deluxe upgrade for 8 year, also in sale down from 15, which gets me the dlc releasing soon.

Started 1000xResist last night after buying it on sale a while back. Not loving it so far but will stick with it after hearing great things.

Tempted by Earthion and Cairn on sale at the minute.

I think a little break might be needed after beating such a great run of games in Ghost of Yotei, RE9, Saros, Vampire Crawlers, Pragmata, Nine Sols, 007 FL and Minishoot Adventures so far this year.

Unless I go back to and finish Hades II..

Finished up with Sin and Punishment: Star Successor for now, I'll come back to it for sure to tackle Hard mode at some point. It's such a shame people ignore the Wii as it has some incredible games on it and S&P 2 is one of the best games I've ever played. I've not played an action game as intense in a long time.

It makes me really miss Treasure as a developer.

Cairn is an absolute bargain at 22.50, goes back to 30 euro tonight on psn. Still a bargain at 30 imo, my game of the year so far.

I'm playing Luna Abyss at the moment, it's a good little bullet hell fps in a nightmarish setting and it's available on game pass. Highly recommend.

Played the first few levels and enjoyed it. Very much a if you like the old doom games you'll like this.

Everything and everyone looks so bland, I had to stop it after a few minutes. It's either really bad or not for me. Even Collin the talking pig, instead of giving you some creative option like go and hunt a wild hog or steal a pig from somewhere else, you just buy it, job done. Meh.

For any MMA/UFC fans, UFC 6 early access is out today if you own ultimate edition, standard is out next Friday. EA Play gets you a 10 hour trial which starts today at 4pm. Ea play is currently on sale, 1 month for 1 euro so a euro gets you a 10 hour trial and 10% off if you want to buy it

It is actually added to the game (free) and can play it from Sunday. I'd say EA were beaming to be able to add the White House but shocked it's not being sold as dlc.

I'm guessing they put a bit more effort into that abomination than when they added "Dublin Stadium" into Madden 26 after the NFL game in Dublin last year.

I thought I was joking. I guess there's no such thing as satire anymore.

    Have you any other predictions?

Let's hope they are good ones and also come true.

I mean, as far as amoral corporations go, UFC and EA are a fine match.

I'll say one thing about the new ufc game, it's incredibly satisfying to beat McGregor to a bloody pulp.

Continuing to have a great time in Marathon. Takes a few hours to get used to the UI and fairly light onboarding, but there’s so much to like when you get into it. Have had some very fraught firefights, like rushing for an exit and successfully extracting when a tense firefight wiped out the rest of my squad in the final moments of a match. Some great map design full of places to hide, shelter, or ambush as needed, plus some very unique ideas in each of the main maps (and only briefly dipped into the nighttime variant of Marsh but the atmosphere in that is incredible).

On one hand I can say why the initial few hours are off putting and challenging. On the other the idea this is a bad game seems to have little relationship with the game itself - and I say that as someone with zero love for live service shooters or the like. This feels like a studio doing what they’ve done well for a long time, but with enough of a shift in formula to make it feel fresh.

4 hours into Cairn and it is indeed fantastic.

Might be a familiar trick, but for anyone who buys indie or smaller games regularly off Steam it’s well worth looking at the bundle options if they’re available. The key is these usually account for if you have any of the games already in your library, so you can sometimes shave a couple of extra euro off the main or sale price if you have one or more of the games already.

A lot of indie developers seem to have embraced the model and collaborate with other devs / publishers, so a fair chunk of the time - even at release - you can get a game for a bit cheaper. I saw Forbidden Solitaire was on sale from my wishlist over the weekend, but a bundle discount with Inscryption knocked another euro or two off the sale price.

I am absolutely loving The Alters. Would have been in my GOTY running if I played it last year. Completely hooked, near the end of the game and already looking forward to my next playthrough. Can't recommend it enough.

    The Metroid: Other M experience:

Hi I'm Samus Aran. I may have a saved the galaxy at least 3 times by now but if you are a man then I'll be your submissive doormat. I'll be here to interrupt whatever fun you are having to tell you about how much I love to let men walk all over me in flashbacks.

I also have PTSD because a giant space jellyfish died while saving my life, the same space jellyfish whose entire species I had no problem making extinct by freezing them and blowing them up with missiles.

I'm a real character now with feelings!

Credits rolled, absolutely amazing **** game. My only regret is not playing it sooner.

Finished Pragmata last night. Picked it up a week ago, and i thoroughly enjoyed the setting and gameplay. Plays really well, and the hacking is a nice change to the usual FPS type games. Can get quite busy but always something to help you through. Decent checkpoints to avoid the usual enemy respawn mechanic. But, the story didn't land with me. If you have kids, it would probably hit harder, and the ending was typical poo. But, worth it for the gameplay.

I also tried Lords of the Fallen, but it's too soulslike. Tried Flintlock The Siege of Dawn, and I was enjoying it but the movement is too slow and was getting too soulslike for me. Might be an interesting one for souls fans, different. And currently have a few hours played in Blades of Fire. An alleged soulslike, but so far not too hard. Forging your own weapons is cool, but remains to be seen if it'll get annoying. Quicker than most souls games too, so I'll stick with it for another while.

Steelrising is another accessible soulslike with an interesting setting that reminds of Lies of P (minus the difficulty)

I tried Steel Rising on my pc when I had Gamepass and my rig couldn't run it well, so didn't get far. Was waiting for Plus inclusion to try it again.

Upping my Marathon excursions to Dire Marsh, the game’s mid-tier level, after feeling like I needed to start chasing the next tier of tools and loot. And honestly my fondness for the game is only increasing per the session. I just love the pace of the game, from the scavenging downtime to the high-risk gunfights that often seem to hit at the most inconvenient time. I love the art and map design, the sound design is spectacular, and the nighttime variant of the map added in season two is a delightfully eerie addition.

While it’s still a bummer to get janked early in a game, I’ve also had multiple runs now with so many cool little emergent stories and moments of high drama before finally extracting successful. Some of the best multiplayer experiences I’ve had, even with randos.
