phone delivered two days back. works well, except for the slow charging and is becoming slightly warm on overuse

    Another day of payment pending.

    No email.

    No SIM.

    No phone.

Message the chat bot Tobi. It will transfer you to an agent fairly quick. Give them the order number and at least you'll know.

My €249 is still showing as pending on my account for my cancelled order. That's not vodafones fault tho. It's a banking issue.

    Am doing it right now.

Was preferring to live in hopeful ignorance...

Edit: it's taking them a while to respond..

    Edit 2: still waiting

Edit 3: order got "stuck" and cancelled. Live agent is trying to fob me off by saying I can go in-store now and get the offer with valid ID.

"You will get online but can place the same order via store"

"You can check by placing order via store again if you can get same offer"

Edit 4: Agent hung up on me. Didn't think that was possible via online chat!

Looking through previous Vodafone threads from 2021 onwards, it takes 3-5 working days for the money to come back. Going to give it until Monday before getting in touch with them.

Ordered on the 4th June with a lycra mobile Esim, no updates beyond the initial email and I can see the pending 250 payment has fallen off now. So obviously cancelled.

Just to give other people and idea of timelines

I'd recommend people have a 48 sim handy for when this comes up again

I got one for 9a offer but time ran out so had it handy for this.

Itried with a 48 sim that I got last year for the 9a deal which I never went ahead with. in the cancelled limbo a week now.

I'll probably go in store when it's back in stock as I'd like a spare for my pixel 6 pro which is EoL this year

My pending transaction has finally dropped off this morning, so 7 days it took.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 248 ✭✭ocj

I ordered this on the 8th, sim came on the 10th. No sign of the phone yet.
Contacted support this morning and they don't know where it is. 😡

The pending transaction issue isn't anything to do with Vodafone. They put a hold on the money when you make the sale, once the sale goes thru they take the money. If the sale cancels or doesn't go thru for any reason, they release the money. It usually takes at least 5 working days to have the pending transaction disappear. If you contact your bank they can usually sort it quicker.

Pretty much identical here....live chat agent says that phone will be sent when it comes back into stock.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 346 ✭✭Damie

Phone went out of stock late on the 8th or early on the 9th so my order is waiting until it comes back in stock, they said give it a week but god knows if it will ever land

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 805 ✭✭✭glen123

Interesting thing is that on the website it is still advertised as 249.99 yet in store they said they could order one for me and they would have it ready for collection in 2 days but at a normal price.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 248 ✭✭ocj

    VF just called me.
They have none in stock and have no idea when or even if they will get them. Asked if I wanted to cancel my order and get a refund.

Are you signing up and cancelling these sims with 48/ Lyca after 1 month or how do you get one where not tied down to recurring monthly subscription

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 1,728 ✭✭✭NotShero

You can get a free SIM with 48 and Lyca without buying a plan. You need to top up the Lyca SIM by €5 to activate it. You don't need to spend anything to activate the 48 SIM, just activate it for free online.

It is Vodafone's fault. Their "deals" have been like this for at least 15 years at this stage where it is pot luck whether your order will get through or not. Cnuts
