I think the Rissues high intensity running game not suited to warm humid weather ?

Guff about stuff, and stuff about guff.

Possibly but I think the longer a team like that stays in the championship the more conditioned they'll be to the warm weather. A team like Donegal in the semi's Will be a different beast to now but can they navigate the midfield.

I'm on the verge of a site ban. Please don't rage bait me, I'm easily triggered especially late at night!

I will give u that but show me a team that has a run of form?

Kerry hammered twice by a team that has lost twice in Ulster and All Ireland series. Armagh beaten by Louth!. Who is showing form, its an enjoyable championship, i think Cork could rattle anyone in it

Why did he go down? Because the Tyrone player barged straight into his chest. We love ignoring rules in GAA. The action afterwards doesnt matter as the first action was a foul against O Shea. From Galway, no dog in the fight, its just the reality of what happened.

Galway are too leaky at the back, big lead against roscommon, got reeled in. Shipped big scores against Leitrim, Kildare and Westmeath. None of whom are all ireland contenders. And its not like they have key players playing under par. Walsh, Conroy, McDaid all going OK and getting time in Comer and still theyre scraping over the line. I can't see them winning it out.

Its hard to call right now as the draw in rd3 has such a bearing. If Kerry get Armagh it throws the championship wide open.

All the convertorsy about hooters ,clocks and points that went wide been marked up as points. The Tyrone point was a wide against Mayo. It was really obvious from side opposite the stand.

The GAA needs to set some basic rules and say if you don't have these things at your ground or temporary ground you can't host a championship game.

Secondly the GAA need to install Hawkeye at 1 regional grounds in Connacht and Ulster and host the R3 knock out games can be played at all the Hawkeye enabled venues.R3 games should be neutral.

The GAA will be vilified of course if any of the quarter finals are played in croker but you can see why they do it because there is zero convtersary apart from **** officials.

But of course the GAA is a professional organization bein run by amateurs.

Dublin won't be winning an All Ireland for a long time me thinks.

There is probably a path to a semi final or even a final for any of the 12 teams left it on it of the draw went their way.

    Exciting times.

Great draw. Going to be some unusual faces in the semis

Obviously a dig at Louth. There was both a visible clock and a hooter in Inniskeen yesterday.

Monaghan at home for the fifth time. They had one game at a neutral venue. Westmeath away/neutral for the sixth time. They had one game at home. This is between the Provincials and the Rounds.

Horrible draws for Armagh and Donegal coming off a loss with a week to recover.

This could be massive for the Dubs and getting their fans back. I think they will give Donegal a big rattle.

Really feels like any of those could go either way.

Tyrone played on 12 April, 24 May and 14 June to get to the QF. Lost to Armagh in Ulster by a point A.E.T. Beat Roscommon and Mayo by a point in the Rounds. They have a two week break awaiting who emerges next weekend. I think the only team they can't be drawn against is Mayo.

In horse racing parlance Tyrone are "lightly raced", but have had good contests along the way.

Yeah Donegal and Armagh are coming off losses where they were expected to win, very quick turnaround after that and away matches too.

Not as bad for Mayo as they had a tough away and are home now, Westmeath a very tough away game and away again very tough for them.

    are roscommon gone out ?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 23,880 ✭✭✭✭sligeach

I was hoping Dublin would be drawn against Armagh. Monaghan got the kindest draw at home to Westmeath. Mayo being at home to Meath might just give them the edge there. Croke Park is a big advantage to Dublin. Kerry v Armagh is taking out 1 of the 2 favourites, imo.

It's interesting that the 4 teams waiting in the quarter-finals are from each of the 4 provinces.

    Cork

    Galway

    Louth

    Tyrone

Tailteann Cup semis both in Croker on Saturday so guessing the Dub v Donegal game on Sunday unless Dublin pull a Louth and opt to play in Parnell

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 895 ✭✭✭Treble double

On paper Donegal should wipe the floor with Dublin. The fact Dublin are at home closes the gap. The slight Dublin will feel over the Brennan suspension and lack of one for Jimmy gives them a cause. Dublin need to fight for this to be in Parnell Park to make it really interesting. Kerry have home advantage against Armagh, but Donegal blew them away in Killarney. I don't think Armagh have enough naturally good footballers to win it out, but you would expect them to go down swinging in this one.
