In a strange way, you'd have to almost admire the way he has managed to con so many millions of people over such a long period. It's quite a remarkable feat.

Bibi has got Trump by the short and curlies, Epstein/GMax gave Mossad compromising files on Trump and he is now effectively blackmailing Trump, several Presidents refused to bow to Israel ambitions but not Donald.

It's the same in every country. People just want to live their lives and politics stresses and confuses a lot of people. I believe that's intentional.

    GREAT NEWS AT LAST!

"Let the oil flow" says Trump.

The pride movement was ecstatic when the WH was lit up in rainbow.

In terms of America it's very prestigious to get your product there. The UFC is going to be at it's absolute peak tonight, to think where it came from.

So can anyone tell me what exactly is different from before he started the war on Iran?

The bank accounts of Trump's buddies have increased with amazingly prescient bets.

Iran's military facilities have been badly damaged or destroyed. Their nuclear program set back many years. Was it worth it? I've no idea but the future years will be telling.

Added bonus. The weapons they were selling to the Russian rats has either stopped altogether or seriously diminished.

It can't be a coincidence Ukraine have achieved massive drone superiority since this war broke out and for the first time in years, Russia is stalled.

Hundreds of billions of dollars worth of expenses in munitions, deployments lost assets and damaged infrastructure to the US, Israel, Lebanon, Qatar, Oman, Saudi and Iran and the global economy forced to endure huge inflation, oil prices increasing and potential food shortages due to lack of fertilisers which will drive up food prices globally and cause millions to go hungry and thousands of lives lost and many more ruined through displacement, injury and economic impact. Not to mention the environmental impact of America and Israel blowing up oil refineries and other infrastructure and Iran retaliating

    So, thats whats different

Edited to say I underestimated the cost, its closer to 1.3 trillion USD

    Economic impact of Iran War

    Are you serious?

Or are you admitting that Trump's previous obliterating of their nuclear capabilities was in fact more of his lies?

According to Trump's people. the deal with Iran is done and the Hormuz Straits are open, the U.S Navy blockade is lifted. Peace in Trump's time, though the virtual signing of the document is not done yet and the IRG are denying there's a deal.

What a failure by the US. **** all achieved apart from more destruction, and by all accounts Iran will maintain control over the Strait.

Trump and lying/over exaggerating is like the bear **** in the woods. Doesn't need further analysis.

While an end to the war is to be celebrated, we shouldn't forget who caused this.

The cynic in me is this is a ruse. Spike inflation with a war, end the war and then spread a narrative that you are responsible for falling prices.

I fully expect the US to fall for this ****.

I rather preferred the thought of plague like swarms of mosquitos and gnats descending on the likes of Trump snd his entourage ....I'd like the extended highlights package please!

It's such a strange world we live in. No such thing as truth or facts anymore, just narratives that people spin. The lads who like to suckle on Trumps balls are experts at turning black and white facts where Trump has erred completely into some sort of win for him. It's astonishing to witness in real time for all these years.

America's bases in the region have been obliterated
Iran's military has been dug in to underground bunkers to pop out, fire and retreat so that the US standard blitzkrieg style of aerial assault was not effective.

Iran's airforce was 'destroyed', but Iran were not relying on an airforce, they relied on Mobile SAM batteries and 'loitering' defences.
Iran's 'navy' was sunk but they were not relying on battleships or aircraft carriers, they have backup plans of small fast boats that can launch drones or mines, and their drone launchers can pose enough of a threat to the US that their carriers haven't entered the Persian gulf and are launching attacks from the Arabian sea reliant on mid air refuelling.

And their offensive capacity hasn't been destroyed either. They can make more drones per day than they have fired.

I watched the footage of strikes on Iran daily. They were set back quite a bit. The satellite images are there to see.

Likewise Russia has appeared weakened since their ally Iran started to get bombed.

There offensive capacity has been severely degraded and that was seen in the big reduction in strikes as the war dragged. Their nuclear facilities hit extremely hard. They don't have the ability to open the straight militarily either.

People rightly take issue with Trump's use of the word obliterate but you use his favourite word to describe largely empty American bases which were damaged.

Trump was also impressed by the pictures of craters on the ground, but Iran has their most important infrastructure in underground facilities.

Underground factories, America bombs the entrances, but the facilities are full of excavators so they just dig their way out in a few hours.

The Vietnamese worked this out generations ago. America carpet bombed Vietnam and Laos and Cambodia but those bombs can't reach the underground tunnels.

A country that is prepared for an attack from the air, which is basically all America is prepared to do anymore is not militarily vulnerable to these kinds of attacks. America ran out of military targets and started attacking civilian infrastructure yet the Iranian military is still intact and able to shoot down Apaches and retaliate to US and Israeli strikes

American ufc fans are, by and large, fairly right leaning. Hardly a surprise they (and you) are happily gobbling down trump’s excrement

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2, Paid Member Posts: 12,744 ✭✭✭✭fullstop

But their nuclear programme was destroyed last year according to your orange oracle. You’re not telling me he wasn’t telling the truth are you?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 7,306 ✭✭✭RoyalCelt

They had a huge amount of infrastructure on the ground and a lot which wasn't deep enough either. They stored and produced a bit deep underground but the majority was indeed hit.

Your hero, Trump. Was hardly that difficult to work out?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 7,306 ✭✭✭RoyalCelt

It's difficult to work out because you know I'd vote against him.

It's crazy to think Trump is in the Whitehouse, conducting a deal with Iran and in 1-2 hours his UFC event is starting.

It's been pushed back an hour, not sure if it's related to the deal or the weather. Apparently it's absolutely pissing down in Washington.

There was a ufc journalist on the indo Sport daily podcast last week and he made the point that the fan base of ufc has shifted massively right in the last few years, so now most ufc fans (not all, he did say that) are trump fans (in America at least)

Most UFC fans would generally not be enough into politics to be a fan of anybody . Trump gets way too much credit in this regard.
