100% will do. Getting the membrane off will be the hardest part.

    What's your bbq bible?

If I'm struggling for ideas this is the one I always go back to. The fajita rub is top notch

I didn't know these existed, a bottom discharge charcoal starter. My charcoal needs to go into a tight spot since I have a divider in the fire basket. I usually get some small pieces on the floor when tipping it out which isn't so bad, but we now have a puppy to consider. £16.99.

So proud of my little chicky from yesterday. I really had been avoiding any larger pieces for a couple of years as I was having trouble finding consistent coals to stay hot.

I was dubious when wifey arrived home with these Zip coconut charcoals, but they were actually very good. Used 1 chimney and a small chimneys worth, chicken went on for an hour 10 mins at around 190c, and the coals stayed at 150c a couple of hours after that.

Maybe for heads who like the real char taste, that might lack as they’re obviously not charcoal, but I was happy. Possibly could add some nice wood chippings next time.

That's lovely. Will be doing a "Nando's" chicken later.

Regarding the taste, the best I've ever had is a chicken cooked like that over quebracho blanco lumpwood. No need for chips or chunks the lumpwood has perfect flavour.

A little mod i made to my rotisserie attachment last year for the weber, its just 2 bolts that are used to support the grate, give you an extra 6-8 inches away from the intense heat when cooking directly over coals, for the likes of a spatchcock chicken or pork neck steaks.

    Anyone got good skewers?

    I have these ones https://www.charbroil.co.uk/skewer-rack-uk-140587

But when I use them find they tend to rotate back to same side. Cook chicken skewers a fair bit but when I try to rotate to get an even cook the skewers end up turning back to same heavy side.

No. But have realised I could do with a rotisserie gadget. Have Eastern European friends and they have wide flat skewers.
