nearly there with buying my first o/u shotgun for clay shooting.

Have been trying multiple types of brands and models of guns.

I feel like the beretta 686 silver pigeon 1 sporting 2024, is the one for me.

however I am stuck on the adjustable stock/comb decision, is it really worth the extra buck?

I have been told by most it is, but just looking for peoples opinion on here.

thanks in advance for any opinions/advice.

p.s I am a newbie to this world, go easy on me 🤙🏼

    Hi,

A Silver Pigeon is a well regarded shotgun, and will quite likely do you for life. It also holds its value, reasonably well...

On that basis, I think I would spend the bit extra, for the adjustable stock.

I assume you've looked at a few secondhand Berettas shotguns (and also the Browings, like the 525) BTW - there's plenty of them out there, often in very good condition, with a notable difference in prices.

    Thanks,

    G.

Absolutely worth the money.More shots are missed shotgun shooting by people trying to fooster themselves into position behind a badly fitting one size fits all stock and then rushing the shot.
