Immigration and Ireland - MEGATHREAD *Mod Note Added 02/09/25*

Multiculturalism is critical they say.

We have to accept these poor crayturs they say.

If you object you are nothing but a tri-flag waving, racist bigot they say.

Diversity is strength they say.

Ireland and Europe are on the precipice of a disaster but let's bring more in they say.

The silence tells you all you need to know tbh, in this thread, the media and in political circles. Theres no clout to be gotten for calling out the behaviour of a person of colour.

We all know what the narrative in the media will be.

We all know what the usual suspects playbook will be on social media sites.

We all know the reality of the horrors our politicians immigration policies are bringing to our communities.

We see it time and time again no matter the barbarity we now see in our communities on a daily basis.

Heartbroken for that 15 year old and his family with unconfirmed reports about his condition now emerging.

It was only a child that was attacked my god.

We better get ready for an influx from the north because there will be war over this.

Unfortunately it won't be this moment - as posted above by sligeach, the established media and NI police are already downplaying the seriousness of the attack.

In parallel, the same media and other groups have been working to discredit other outlets for the last several years - Gript, certain social media accounts etc . We see it here on this site where some posters flat out refuse to even open certain links because the source doesn't fit their ideology/narrative position.

Those making the political decisions are completely insulated from not just these growing problems, they've largely managed to insulate themselves from the electorate as a whole.

It won't come to a head until some poor unfortunate journalist, politician, or other member of "official" Ireland finds themselves in the middle of such an attack. It was the same in the 1990s when the tragic murder of Veronica Guerin meant that the politicians could no longer just ignore the situation and were forced to respond with real measures.

I don't want to talk about posters on here, but I would expect anyone who posts regularly on here will be posting about the incident.

It is probably the most disturbing incident I have seen as long as I can remember.

This is our future.

Probably not in his 40s if the BBC are saying it.
