There's 2 actually. Have you forgotten the Iranian protestors?

I'm on the verge of a site ban. Please don't rage bait me, I'm easily triggered especially late at night!

    Typical response.

Israel has closed all crossings into Gaza and halted the entry of humanitarian aid following Iran’s retaliatory strikes on Israel, cutting off supplies to roughly 2 million Palestinians in the territory.

It looks like your friend ,Donnie, doesn't call the shots,combat14. Maybe Donnie should do what Ronald did back in the day to try and reign in Bibi. He has found out Bibi's electoral concerns supercede his need for a deal

Israel isn't going to lose control of their homeland. It has undoubtedly lost the propaganda war over the last two years, but this in no way translates to an existential threat. Israel has hundreds of nukes and is backed by a superpower, these facts ensure it's not going anywhere.

Houthi's announced a ban on Israeli linked ships from transiting the Red sea.

Nothing to say about the 20,000 murdered Palestinian children since October 2023, just more east/west blah blah, not surprising. Do you have reliable links for the executions you referred to or is it more of Iran would have had a nuclear bomb in two weeks stuff?

Oil prices on the way up again. Interest rates on way up again due to inflation. The EU is suffering for the Israel/US war mongering and are just accepting it. And some people still think Israel/US want to help Iranians.

What are they doing in the Hyacinth house?

Have you even bothered to look at thread title?

Do you have anything to say about the 33,000 dead in Iran with executions now resuming??

Are their deaths ok in your opinion because of the dumpster fire over on Gaza 1000s km away from Iran?

thats what your post amounts to “ah sure sure never mind these protestors are executed, why don’t ya think of the children over there”

Thanks for those links Wildgreen. I wasn't aware of that Dutch investigative journalism. Heartbreaking stuff.

So you don't have any reliable links, just numbers with a whiff off whence they came

That is funny, the government of Lebanon has condemned Iran for their interference. Israel was not attacking Lebanon, it is attacking Hezbollah.

A meticulous investigative report by the Dutch newspaper De Volkskrant documenting what journalists describe as the deliberate targeting of children in Gaza has been awarded the European Press Prize 2026, one of the continent's most prestigious journalism honors.

The award-winning piece, titled "What the Wounds Tell," was authored by De Volkskrant journalists Maud Effting and Willem Feenstra, who documented 114 cases of children under the age of 15 who were each struck by a single bullet to the head or chest. Nearly all of them died or were left severely disabled.

“This is exceptional journalism carried out under exceptional circumstances. While independent access to Gaza has been made almost impossible, @maudeffting and Feenstra built a rigorous investigation from the accounts and documentation of international medical professionals who had worked inside Gaza’s hospitals and clinics," the European Press Prize said, praising the work on its official channels.

The journalists chose to focus specifically on children under 15 — many of them aged 3, 4 or 7 — because they can be immediately and unambiguously identified as minors.

"A single bullet in these parts of the body is a clear indication that these children were deliberately targeted," Effting and Feenstra wrote in their report.

The newspaper spoke with 17 doctors and a nurse from the US, the UK, Australia, Canada and the Netherlands who worked at six hospitals and four clinics in Gaza since October 2023. Many had long experience in crisis zones, including Sudan, Afghanistan and Ukraine.

Fifteen of them told De Volkskrant that they treated at least 114 children aged 15 or younger with a single gunshot wound to the head or chest. The cases were documented between late 2023 and mid-2025 at 10 medical facilities.

One of the doctors, US trauma surgeon Feroze Sidhwa, recalled his first day at the European Hospital in Gaza in March 2024,
where he found four boys under 10 with identical head wounds within 48 hours, according to the report.

"How is it possible that here in this small hospital, within 48 hours, four children have come in who were shot in the head?" he told the paper.

Over the following 13 days, he encountered nine more children with similar wounds.

Doctors interviewed stressed that such injuries were unlikely to be accidental. Forensic experts consulted by the newspaper said the uniform pattern suggested aimed fire, possibly by snipers or drones.

The European Press Prize is one of journalism's most prestigious honors on the continent, recognizing outstanding reporting across Europe.

So much for the US cavalry riding in to save them eh?

Oh hang on, didn't the US murder a load of schoolgirls?

You got anything to say about that?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 1,799 ✭✭✭bored65

Sure why don’t you ask the Iranian regime to let in independent journalists and NGOs to go in and get reliable figures

Meanwhile they themselves boast how they are executing protestors as the aim is to terrorise their own population

Why does the left wing hate people protesting against a cruel regime that terrorises and murders it’s own?

re school. I did earlier in thread

Re: your boasting that protestors got crushed and relishing in their deaths

Well well the mask has truly slipped, turns out the left wing don’t actually care for Iranians and are celebrating the crushing of their protests

You can at least try not to sound so delighted about it for internet points

    Christians don't have a homeland.

What about Jewish Israelis share Israel with Christians and Muslims? What about removing apartheid from Israel?

I don't really care that much about Europeans that moved to Israel and decided to rape, pillage, torture and murder the local the population. I care more for their victims than the butcher's in charge. It's incredible how so few have such disregard for the historical legacy of the region and cause so much harm.

II used to think of the farmers etc and how history ignored them in favour of the murderers. It's happening in front of us right now. People with no morals can have an outsize influence on the world stage.

One wonders how long Israel can continue to maintain a hold over the West though. It is clearly rapidly becoming a huge liability to the NATO / G7 countries, rather than a stabilising 'western' influence in the Middle East - especially as it seems it will continue to elect far right, hyper nationalist governments going forward. It is moving further and further to the right, rather than moderating in any way.

Fox News had a top story this morning online about how the initial strike on the Ayatollah only destroyed the room that him and the other leaders were in and how other wings of the same building remained intact

The jist in the article and the commentary on the report was along the lines of "look how precise the US is with strikes that they can target specific parts of the building and only kill the people that they need to"

….with no mention of the girls school, which the US still haven't apologised for.

If they really have the best intelligence and precision targeting, how can they explain killing hundreds of primary school children in a strike? It can't have been a mistake…..

Wrong, Catholics have the Vatican City as their homeland, the Church of England has the King of England as their head in their homeland, Muslims have Mecca in Saudi Arabia as their homeland.

Where did I "boast that protesters got crushed and relishing in their deaths"?

Resorting to lies is scraping the bottom of the barrel. But unsurprising.

How many protesters do you think were killed?

Do you believe the Iranian regime propaganda or do you believe the human rights organisations that say upwards of 30,000 were executed by the regime?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 1,799 ✭✭✭bored65

    In the post i quoted

Here it is again in case your forgot your own celebratory sentence

“So much for the US cavalry riding in to save them eh?”

Literally gloating that the US didn’t help the protesters and now implying they deserve to be publicly hanged

Have the US not admitted to bombing the girls school yet? It was months ago! They knew exactly what happened within an hour I'd say.

There's over 1 billion Christians who aren't Catholic. Church of England is about 2% of them. The other 98% you seem to have excluded?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 1,611 ✭✭✭JohnDoe2025

They self excluded after the Reformation. Your original claim was that Christians didn't have a homeland at all, now you have changed it to some of them don't have a homeland.

Buddhists have a homeland in India, Confusianism has a homeland in China, Muslims have a homeland in Saudi Arabia, but you are the one who would deny Jews a homeland.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 17,406 ✭✭✭✭8-10

I didn't have any original claim? I didn't change any claim at all?

I'm simply saying that Church of England and the King don't represent more than 2% of non-Catholic christians.

Why are you saying I would deny anyone a homeland based on that??

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 17,406 ✭✭✭✭8-10

Sure that could have been anyone's Tomahawk!

    What we know is:

    1. Trump blamed Iran's innacurate munitions for the strike

    2. Strike was a Tomahawk missile

    3. Only the US has access to Tomahawks, not even Israel can fire them

    4. Hegseth says it's under investigation and he will accept the outcome of the investigation

    5. Zero updates on the investigation (leaks suggest they mistakenly used outdated satellite imagery - up to 9 years out of date - but unconfirmed officially)

    6. Nobody else has claimed responsibility

Sorry, it was another poster who claimed that Christians don't have a homeland, and wanted to take away the Jewish homeland as a result.

The point is that many religions have a homeland, including Catholics, Buddhists, Muslims and Church of England. Mormons have Utah. Incidentally Eastern Orthodox Christians have Constantinople.
