Caught the David Byrne set at Coachella on YouTube and it was fantastic.

It was outdoors and looked just as good (for anyone on the fence about the outdoorness of the June gig).

I thought his voice on Heaven was just immaculate. Brilliant gig all round. He has an amazing catalogue of songs really.

I’m looking for front standing tickets for June. Tried tout less but finding it very difficult to use with the ads - haven’t logged in there since 2017! ) is there anywhere else I should look?. Only general tix on ticketmaster and I’ve been checking for a few weeks.

Some resale will probably pop up closer to the gig when some people can't make it, that's your best shot I'd say.

A bit confused by this - I use Toutless regularly enough and have never noticed ads being an issue.

What tends to happen though is that its very one way - for any given gig, either everyone looking to buy or everyone looking to sell….thats not their fault obviously.

I'd take it anyday over ticketmaster resale.

this is what I see when I go on tout less. The ad takes up half the page even when I scroll.

please don’t. Toutless is a small site and probably needs the ad revenue to survive

Fitz hit the arrow and the ad will minimise

Got resale tickets eventually. Happy now.

Just checked Ticketmaster and picked up a Front Standing (non resale) for St Anne's park so maybe more have been released?

I didn't know there was different sections for the gig at St. Annes.

Seems to be the default for outdoor concerts now unfortunately. Had been holding out for Front Standing since March and spotted they were back on sale this afternoon.

Had a look there, and front standing seems to be the only option.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 2,661 ✭✭✭skeleton_boy

There's general standing available too for €97

I went for front standing anyway. Not sure where my friends are, but the price wasn’t much more.

I’m not too fussed on being close to the stage this time around.

I saw NewDad confirmed on at 6:15 anyway.

Would probably mean Arlo Parks at 7:15 and David Byrne at 8:30 maybe?

Its a 2 hour show unless he cuts it down a bit from the 3Arena show .

If so with curfew 10.30 I think he will come on stage around 8.30 .

    Ponchos at the ready !

Actually Arlo Parks was first and just finishing their set now.

Ground not too mucky yet but the gates on the way in and forcing you to walk onto grass on side of main avenue and there is just muck now.

That's disappointing. Expected her to be on around now!

Wow what a gig. Inspite and dispite of the rain, I actually think the wet weather helped the love-in work.

From the start with heaven to burning, there was a wide smile on my face

Well, that was oppressively wet! Just got brave enough to take my phone out of my pocket without worrying it'd stop working. Still struggling to recover the dexterity to type. I'd say that'd have been an unreal gig on a sunny day!

great gig but can’t remember when I last got completely soaked through like last night

Got a random free ticket and stayed at my folks place nearby all of us absolutely drenched. Amazing gig all the same what a show, rain was so bad though never been so drenched at an event before.

It was the absolute worst. Great gig but by jaysus, I was absolutely soaked through. Even my hands were like as if I'd been in a bath for an hour.

Superb show. Shame about the rain, which was the worst I've ever experienced at a concert, but - despite that - I felt it worked well as an outdoor event with a standing audience. As with the show in March, T-Shirt and (Nothing But) Flowers were my probable highlights, but the whole thing was great.

I enjoyed Arlo Parks, having done a crash course in her setlist a few days in advance, and Newdad. Weird that the order was changed at the eleventh hour. David Byrne and several of the band were in the Front Standing section for Arlo Parks.
