Listening on the radio, it sounds like the referee has made 2 poor decisions against Galway in quick succession.

Shouldn't have been a penalty to Dublin or black card for the Galway player, and a Dublin player should have been sent off for a high challenge.

In what world should a yellow card feel like a let-off compared to a black card? That tackle was far worse than Cooney

The black card was an awful call and then not sending off mchugh was another. Don't think those were the only ones. He's having an awful match in general.

Galway superior on pretty much every metric

Ref has had an awful game

Cooney blatantly pulled down o Donnell there before the penalty. Ref is absolutely useless

That’s an awful miss from the ref before the black card for Dublin.

He's a bad ref, who gave Dublin loads of the rub of the green against Wexford last year. Awarding a phantom goal and ignoring a cowardly hit on Chin by Crummey. Don't think I have ever seen him NOT make a hames of things.

Eoghan O'Donnell confirming my opinion he is far superior carrying the ball forwars than actually defending.

If someone like Gillane got pulled down there I would want a black card.

I don't care if there are covering defenders. Top forwards can score from there.

Galway playing like Kilkenny in the 2010s with this this dominant performance. No taking the foot off the pedal at all

Daithi Burke. Top 5 in his position to ever play the game, with more All-Ireland's in the football than hurling.

    A man mountain

We beat both Waterford and all Ireland champions Tipperary and if we don't beat that Dublin team, then we certainly don't deserve to be in a semi final. Dublin were weak to start with, but as this game has gone on, injuries and poor touch etc, they have regressed even further. And I would love to see Dublin becoming a top hurling team. The game needs them.

A big beating for Dublin. Galway very good in fairness.

Dublin sub looked like he should have had a red, from stands here.

Dublin aimless high ball. Too much reliant on long ball to Hetherton. Tom Monaghan so accurate today.

Dublins tactics were just lob the ball in high to Hetherton all day. Have to use the ball better these days. Its good to do it sometimes but not all the time!

Will need 3 up rule like football soon. Awful stuff to watch.

Dublin are absolutely useless. Will get hockeyed by Clare as well

Waterford and Tipp were total shte and ye were embarrassing against Limerick and Cork. Crazy hubris to think ye are definitely going to beat anyone.

Please don't get baited by a poster who always has an axe to grind against Clare

Can't believe 8 years since Galway won a Leinster ( 9 since that All Ireland 😢)

Feel it's going to be Limerick vs Cork All Ireland Final unless Clare are hiding something

Dublin really struggle in the big pitch. Against a loose Limerick last year it worked and they got a big performance but Cork ate them and Galway did again today.

Galway did alot of good stuff but hard to know how much it'd work against a fired up Limerick or Cork. Should be a decent semi with a big crowd.

You wanting it doesn't make it so. There were four defenders around him, no way it's a black card

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 5,176 ✭✭✭robbiezero

In my view once you hack a lad down on the way towards goal inside the 21, its a pen and black card. Ref doesnt need to bother about covering defenders.

I do think pen is plenty punishment. Black and pen is a bit too severe.

Will be Cork and Limerick in All Ireland final. No other team will get near them.

How many injuries did Dublin come out of this game with?

Clare will have a great time against them

Shocker from Dublin, hard to understand really after recent games. Stone age high long ball stuff, horrendous first touches, slack marking, short passing attempts were mostly hospital jobs. O'Ceallachain has some serious questions to answer.

Its 9 years since they lifted a trophy in Croke park

Ref had an absolute shocker. Dublin full back should have been booked at least twice. Never a black card for whelan. Copped out of a clear red for the head high challenge. Missed the drag back by cooney prior to the penalty.

Wasn't a hard game to ref but he made a Pigs ear of it.
