Seems a bit weird but the 23rd World Cup tournament kicks off next week when Mexico take on South Africa in Mexico City Thursday night, I'm largely apathetic because of all the bullsh1t surrounding it, that and the 48 teams making it very bloated and drawn out (5 f*cking weeks) nearly goes on as long as the Rugby WC.

The kick off times seem all over the place, a lot of 2/3 AM starts for any night owls and dole heads, and a fair amount of 8 PM games suits us around here, no 10 am/1 pm/4 pm/7 pm structure like the last time, the first two weeks used to always be the best thing about the WC, game after game seeing teams you wouldn't normally get the chance to watch, the bloated nature of this will probably take away from it this time.

Haven't been following the form but France and Germany will probably be there or thereabouts to win it, Argentina is Messi over the hill and how good are they this time, Brazil have been a mess the last few tournaments but Ancelotti is a quality manager if he can't get a tune out of them then they've no hope, and England with Tuchel, will they finally end 60 years of hurt or will we get another patented glorious failure, all will be revealed July 19th (a few hours after we find out who will win the All Ireland Hurling final which is f*cking weird)

I've been a bit cynical and moany in this post but my childlike enthusiasm may be awakened at some point.
