it's being held on a random Wednesday evening.

How many MAGAs will actually attend?

It would be glorious if the place was half empty

    https://www.theguardian.com/uk-news/2026/jun/05/us-government-criticises-two-tier-uk-policing-henry-nowak

There are many problems with policing and the justice system in the UK (and in Ireland and the rest of Europe). But these are largely internal matters, best dealt with by national and local politicians. The fact that the US has picked this tragic case to go wading in, is a totally outrageous interference in domestic affairs.

They could have picked loads of other cases where law enforcement has been a problem. But they chose this one. Why? Because they see it from the perspective of a bunch of racists, which they are.

I hope some European politicians call out the outrageous suppression of Black representation in Congress now under way. What's souce for the goose…..

….while leaving the attendance open to the Thieves Guild and the Safe Crackers Association.

The neck of the US trying to preach to anyone about policing. Just nod, smile and walk away.

Normally that bulldog guardian of British Sovreignty, Farage, would go ballistic at interference by a foreign power in domestic issues like policing. Has he criticised the US Government? Could it possibly be that one good thing about the State Department intervention is that it has smoked out racists on both sides of the Atlantic?

And its a pity that the pain that the Nowak family must be going through gets sidelined in all of this.

€700m for US coal. I assume there's a grift angle to this 'investment'.

How can someone be so consistently on the wrong side of history.

I wonder, is there anyone on that truth social bollocks that challenges these blubberings from Trump?

I suppose it's the word "superpower" that I'm mildly objecting to.

Trump is someone who was born into privilege that's somehow managed to fail upwards all of his life and has been enabled by the stupid and the cynical who believe that they'll get something in return for following him.

In the US when you have immense wealth you can pay umpteen people to grease the wheels of your "success" and it can get you out of a lot of the trouble you get yourself into. You'll also get a lot of really dumb people thinking that some of that "success" will rub off onto them.

So we agree. I'm just quibbling over the word "superpower" which makes all that sound much better than it actually is.

They'll end up paying people to attend, like they did with their military parade. Well, they'll get the promise of some kind of payment anyway.

FFS, he argues with congress that he's not at war with Iran due to the ceasefire. The he says he is at war to use Presidential wartime powers.

Just like all the billionaires. When it comes to taxes it's all "Well they're only share options, they're not mine" but when it comes to getting loans from banks it's "Here's the shares I own as collateral" !!!!

Tomorrow being 06th June, Pete Hegseth as Secretary for War is to be the ranking U.S representative at Langrune-sur-Mer in France. The town and beach is located between Sword and Juno beaches. The locals have apparently objected to his visit there tomorrow stating that he and the values he represents clash with the peace and human rights D-Day honour's.

If they are the best looking military males, I think he may fawn over them. He has form.

I wonder if someone would consider funding Henry’s parents to fly and stay in the US for a few days to meet with MUSK and Trump personally to convey to them to keep their ‘noses’ out of making comments , etc, out of their poor son’s passing ie a diplomatic ‘thanks but NO thanks’ . First write to both , through diplomatic channels for certainty that it cannot be easily ignored, for an appointment

AI Overview Reports detail that the Eric Trump Foundation shifted hundreds of thousands of dollars meant for pediatric cancer research at St. Jude Children's Research Hospital into for-profit Trump family businesses and other charities. [1, 2]Key findings regarding the redirection of funds include:

    • Funneling to Trump Properties: Despite public claims by Eric Trump that his foundation used Trump Organization assets and golf courses entirely free of charge, records revealed that Donald Trump insisted the courses bill the charity. From 2011 to 2016, this resulted in at least $500,000 in charity funds being paid to Trump-owned properties to cover event expenses. [1, 2, 3]
    • Forbes
also reported that more than $500,000 of the money donated for cancer
patients "was re-donated to other charities, many of which were
connected to Trump family members or interests, including at least four
groups that subsequently paid to hold golf tournaments at Trump
      courses".

Just like his old man, Eric sees charity monies as an easy target for Trump Inc,.

And we shouldn't forget DJT's ongoing spat with the BBC. He obviously doesn't like being put under any form of scrutiny, when being asked to justify the $10Billion alleged damages:

Rep Andy Ogles ® or a staffer (he says it was a staffer) posted "homosexuality has no place in America. Happy nuclear family month".

Can't see how any Judge can let him get away with this stance, it could end up like the fraud trial before the last Election when valuations of Trump Inc., properties turned up to be completely false/hyped up and if there was spare equity in any property it was refinanced.

From the party that did more than any other entity to destroy the nuclear family. That's some next level gaslighting.

Eric, along with Trump Jr. and Ivanka were directors of a previous Trump charity, which used the money for all sorts, including a commissioned portrait of Trump. They were initially going to be barred from running a charity again but they admitted to misuse of funds and came to a settlement.

Seems like coming to an agreement with these boils on the arse of humanity doesn't work.

Hands up if ye remember Dozy Don and his DRAIN THE SWAMP!

WASHINGTON, D.C. — Donald Trump’s wildly unpopular vanity White House Ballroom project has grown more shrouded in conflicts of interest since the East Wing was demolished, with over $50 billion in new and increased government contracts flowing to corporate ballroom donors over the last six months, according to a new Public Citizen report called Ballroom Billions.

Here are some quick facts from the report:

    • Over half of corporate ballroom donors – 14 out of 27 – have received new or increased government contracts over the last 6 months totaling over $50 billion.
    • Altogether, over two-thirds of corporate ballroom donors – 19 out of 27 – received government contracts over the last 5 ½ years totaling $338 billion.
    • Most of the corporate donors – 16 out of 27 – are facing federal enforcement actions and/or have had federal enforcement actions suspended by the Trump administration.

The Trump DOJ court battle to convince the federal courts that he has the right to continue the work on the White House is continuing in the suit brought against Trump. Today I think there's evidence that TDS is affecting the DOJ lawyers as the judge hearing the case was told by the DOJ that Trump could tear down the Statue of Liberty without legal repercussions. In case people have the initial doubts about the reports like I had, it's been reported on by Politico, The Independent and Forbes.

It's a handy stick to beat the current UK govt.with, that's all that matters.

The US now prefers the like of Reform or Restore over centrists, and they are no longer shy about interfering in democracy in their European "allies" in any way they can, openly or covertly, using fair means or foul etc.

I'd fear pretty much every European election will now be subject to massive amounts of US influence in favour of far right, anti-EU and pro Russia "fascist-curious" parties, and that will be the new abnormal normal. Our next vote here (in Ireland) will probably be some shítshow.
