3 or 4k in Hollis Street from memory. Mount Carmel was about 10k.

"listening to the rhetoric on the radio.."

Is she saying Lahvlahn is propagating fear? 😃

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 35,302 ✭✭✭✭zell12

She is talking too much sense.

Set a date to rid private healthcare out of the system, make it public only like NHS. It is actually what people want, and is the fairest, most efficient way to deliver a quality service

Would be well for Finbar and his cronies to be painted as bigots for being against choice, taste of their own medicine.

Playing devil's advocate, men don't choose to get prostate cancer. Whereas the majority of women would choose to get pregnant.

Caller, a developer bought Mount Carmel for the land.

Jessica ends by saying: "Hopefully this discussion will lead the drive to some change."

It should have drove me to change the station. 😜

I see on Instagram, David McSavage bumped into a gilet wearing Joseph Duffy, it could have been AI though

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 4,124 ✭✭✭An Claidheamh

    No, looks real.

Duffy looks like he may have started the Ozempic.

Wonder will he try to ban McSavage from Wexford citing blasphemy*?

*Also known as joking about Duffy

Duffy looks like he may have started the Ozempic. - he certainly looks leaner.

    Kiki,

    • Rotunda Row: Private patients treated in Public hospital. Continues from yesterday. Minister for Health clip played. The word 'should' used many times, but does not exist. Does not 'Butter Many Parsnips' sez Kiki.
    • Katie Taylor: Announcement live on air, specially for LiveLine at 2 O'Clock.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 23,858 ✭✭✭✭sligeach

Kieran is going to bore the @®$€ off us with more chat about the Rotunda.

Says Katie's rubbish fight will be announced at 2PM. So here's going to cover that as well.

He said, "It's safe to say it's going to be the biggest sporting fixture this year."

It is in its h01e! There's a little thing called the World Cup starting in a week or so. Think I'll give today's show a wide berth/birth. 🤢

Will our Katie be on, with her interesting english grammar-speak? More importantly, how much will it cost the taxpayer?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2, Paid Member Posts: 3,878 ✭✭✭Dublin Calling

    Don't worry caller:

    • De GAA will provide de venue for free. Not that the taxpayer paid for the building in the first place. Boxing being a foreign game, but closely related to traditional Irish bare knuckle fighting.
    • De Guarda will volunteer their time for free and chip in from their own pockets to pay for ware and tear on plant and equipment.
    • RTE does be proving de advertisement and coverage for 'free'. Well at de license payers expense.
    • Ticketmaster will donate their services and provide de prize money.

That's this? A Katie love in? Wireless off.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 1,667 ✭✭✭Kalimah

Very quiet around here! It'll be all about Katie Taylor unfortunately so a bore fest for me. I don't like boxing at all , and particularly female boxing.

Ah FFS, is it going to be another Katie Taylor show?! Nothing against her, unbelievable brilliant athlete, but the RTE love in needs to relax.

    Hear, hear, caller.

  • Moderators, Entertainment Moderators, Society & Culture Moderators Posts: 14,685 Mod ✭✭✭✭pc7

I've gone private in Beaumont Kiki, that's a public hospital with a private section.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 1,667 ✭✭✭Kalimah

I had my 4 in Mount Carmel from 1989 to 2003. The care was incredible. Friends who went to the other maternity hospitals didn't have such a great experience. It wasn't big bucks at all once you had VHI etc.

    Could get gold here.

I feel deeply uncomfortable with men preaching to women about something they will never, ever go through. You are extremely vulnerable during pregnancy and childbirth, each one is different, things can go wrong, let women decide what they want. I am 1 million percent sure if men gave birth the rooms, hospital and care on offer would be much much higher than the run down buildings we've to give birth in. On my first MrPc7 thought we were in a cleaning cupboard! some women at the time were delivering on corridors due to how busy the place was.

Does he not get its not the contract, going public you don't get to see the consultant! let alone the same one each visit that you choose.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2, Paid Member Posts: 3,878 ✭✭✭Dublin Calling

She is well able to handle Fintain.

Having done both Public and Semi Private in Hollis Street, it was not worth paying for Semi Private. They did not even have a proper waiting room, it was just a crowded corridor. We were assigned to 'The Master', who we never once saw. It was almost always a different doctor.

The best option appeared to be 'The Midwife' in the public section. There was no waiting, she would be coming out to the public waiting room every few minutes, to look for someone to see. But they did not allow first time mothers to use 'The Midwife'.
