I've always loved the look of an isetta.

The Microlino in my opinion looks fantastic, but does anyone here have one.

What's the story with insurance and is it a B or A licence to drive it.

AI has this take on them:

There are no official dealerships for the retro-styled electric Microlino in Ireland, and importing one directly is highly challenging. The Road Safety Authority (RSA) currently classifies microcars like the Microlino as quadricycles. This classification makes them difficult to tax, insure, and legally drive on Irish public roads without a dedicated lobby.

What's challenging about importing and insurance and taxing them??

AI is not the answer you want.

Renault Twizy is classed as a quadricycle and there's a few of them in Ireland. Microlino is cool, but the prices start at €18-20,000 so that definitely limits sales.

Twizy is cool, but the battery leasing, and the lack of support from Renault, is an issue.

Also . The microlino just looks so retro.. I always wanted an isetta.

Renault battery leasing programme ended around 2020?
