I have 3 and a half weeks off work in August, im a single 38 year old woman with no kids on a budget. Ive never solo travelled before, I could see myself working in a retreat or volunteering for the few weeks but I dont know what or where to look. Any tips?

Volunteering - animals, people, Africa? Asia? A men’s shed in Galway? What do you want? Relax, refresh mind?

ST Bernard pass in switzerland. There is still a lodge there of volunteers. See the Barry foundation, near Martiney. They have an excellence breeding program and museum for St Bernards.

Do some of the Camino. It's not a retreat nor a working trip, but it will offer you plenty of opportunity to be by yourself as well as meet others, as you see fit, and is a great way to just get away, have some headspace, see a different town each day, and is very budget-friendly.

I love these ideas, thank you! Id volunteer with animals, anything to do with art or a yoga retreat. I would love to do a camino walk too.
