    IST/ASSESSMENT DAY results/score!!

What was the hardest of them all? I did it last year and I found the action plans being squeezed in as taking too much time for me to prepare for the role play..

ac complete too. Not too bad! Overall think i did ok

The 6 months training in templemore followed by two years probation was the way the garda were trained in my day (trained in 1983). It seems a lot simpler and I would assume less costly way to go about things than the crazy system the gardai have of multiple phases they have to go through before being fully attested.

A bit shocked at the arbitrary working arrangements though - is that just for the PSNI or all UK police forces? That would not stand a chance of being accepted down here by the Garda associations.

    how do you mean?

The 6 months in G.V is pretty intense plus a two year probation/commitment to district. In terms of working conditions what are you referring to?

how did you get on? From looking at 2025 campaign some people had sat the ac early may and results in june. So hopefully sooner

anyone still to do theirs lol? I’ve still a couple of weeks until mine didn’t realise people got such early dates ! Also were dates random or are they in terms of how everyone merited with their ist?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 10 superflyguy

I believe historically, it is based on IST results!

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 10 donatello41

We were told they’d be in touch within 4 weeks after doing the ac

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 28 lozzapalozza

think its usually a feedback survey and further info. But some were told within four weeks last time (fast track candidates)

    How did you get on?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 28 lozzapalozza

got a fast track email. Anyone else?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 10 donatello41

yep. Or at least I think so

The email didn’t mention the words “fast track” but said I’m among highest scoring candidates between such and such a date”. I imagine that’s the fast track ha?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 28 lozzapalozza

    Believe so lol

Also got Email, not on the fast track list unfortunately. Hope I’m still included on the merit list and won’t have to wait to August to find out 🙄

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 28 lozzapalozza

did it not say pass/fail? Nothing?

Nope. Basically said not included on fast track list, but could still be included on the final merit list and results will be emailed no later than 14th August..

best of luck and stay positive. In years past fast track was only a small minority so dosent really count for much that way. I know the waiting is the hard part

how do you think you got on in your AC?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 5 flashspeedmop

is there people here from the 2025 campaign who are still processing but have also applied again in 2026?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 34 CJauditsyeoo

I think I could have done a lot worse. I would think I did well for 2/3 roleplays and was happy with how it turned out on the day.

Hi all. New to this group - have noticed some of you have received email following your Assessment Centre. When did you sit the AC as I done mine a short time ago and wondering what the time frame is to receive email. Thank you
