not sure where you’d take from what Newtowner has already said that he or she hasn’t done all of that to get to the HR interview? Outsourcing the HR interview to the OPC is a new one on me though I must admit. HR interview for me was with an IR person.

Can I ask again what was the 6 questions they ask you on life experiences for the interview stages? The ask to write a brief description at end of last exam phase.

    1. A time you had to ring emergency services.
    2. A deadline you had to meet
    3. Work achievement

I cant remember the other 3.

Read that post again. You may need to resit the TRFS 😂

If you have gone through all the tests, interviews and medical, and haven't heard from them in a couple of months, then you are in, and just waiting for a place in a class. They won't tell you until they have a place for you in the class.

Some people have put in for depots outside Dublin, which takes longer to get a place in a class.

Class requirements can change last minute. They are currently planning a large class to cover the reopening of the Foynes line, and currently have a class of drivers, in the new training centre, for the new Alstom units.

Talk of a recruitment freeze doesn't seem to hold any truth.

    Hi all,

I applied for both Dart and Train driver applications this year for Dublin.

Had my 16pf interview on May 1st, Line manager interview on may 27th and medical on the 5th. Nothing since.

During my 16pf interview the HR said that she doesn't know how long it'll take. It could be a month and could be even September. She also said that we won't hear back until 1 month before training start date. Also, since i applied for both dart and train, she said that I'm being reviewed for both at the same time.

IIs anyone waiting for Dublin depots? Any idea when the next training is planned for?

    Thank you

So I take it you got through everything and are just waiting on a start date?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 6 Jjvl

I have no idea. Does it mean a person is selected or are they still deciding whom to pick?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 20 JustANewbie

was it a call or email about the medical? That’s the bit I haven’t been asked to attend and I did both interviews similar time to you so maybe that means I’m out.

It was an email a day after the LM interview. But it does say that it's independent of the interview phases and that it doesn't mean you are getting an offer.

Also, it says that the timeslots are limited and if you can't attend it then it might take a while to get another one. Maybe they're just waiting for an opening before contacting you. The HR said the same thing that the medical could take a while as they are packed.

Don't lose hope, it's probably just a matter of availability.
