Over the years my returns have been in more or less in line with expectations, currently .77% approx. In 2024 it was .83% and in 2025 it worked out at .73%. These are net figures as there is no DIRT, and equate to 1.24% and 1.09% gross respectively for comparison with deposit rates where DIRT is applicable.

This week’s €50k prize winning bond, no. BIF189872, was purchased in March 2025.

Well done. I started in May 2023.
If you're in the UK you can get the NSAI app. If not, there is an app called Premium Bonds Checker Plus which will give you notifications of your winnings just after midnight on the day results are due, next due on June 2nd. It's free, but for £1 a year you get more statistics on your investment. NSAI take a few days to email notifications to winners.

thanks so much! I will definitely download the app!!

I am going to put in £500 p/m for a year and see how it lands

    €75 for me today.

Notification email arrived in at 18:38 and the above message was still on display at that stage. (It’s gone now). New bonds weren’t allocated either at that point but I’ve just checked and they are now appearing. Range commences BKX87

Monthly €500k gone to Offaly (bond no GV689083 issued August 2006) and weekly €50k gone to Clare (bond no BJE276044 issued August 2025). Good to see counties that don’t often figure getting a look in !

Dublin underperforming with 7no. of the 20no. €1k prizes and Cork doing well with 4no.

Back to normal at 18:53 when I logged in then.

Nothing for me today. The newest bond to win is BKX341757. There is an uneven spread with probably a double winner in Cork and a triple in Dublin for their brand new bonds. Big gaps for the rest.

Prize Value Winning Prize Bond Location

    €75.00 BKW713344 Dublin

    €75.00 BKX016308 Cork

    €75.00 BKX074778 Cork

Only discovered this morning when I checked my banking, prize bond win €75 euro will be added on June 2nd from May 29th draw. No email arrived. Last win was Friday 19th September 2025, so this is the first win in 2026 from my 30k batch.

They had some trouble with the draw, which might be the reason. See posts #10870 and 10872.

Nothing in April or May on €20k,1 x €75 this year.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 3,893 ✭✭✭John arse

Well on average you'd get around €750 on €100k in a year. Better rates available on other stuff out there.👍

    Zero for me again

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 355 ✭✭carrickbawn

Believe me Tuis,I feel your pain. Mine must have fallen off a cliff somewhere. 2x75 this year on slightly over €100 k.

Have been looking at alternatives and Raisin seems to be the best at the moment at 3.1% but it only for 3months which isn't ideal.

But maybe by then the government scheme coming up will offer some hope. Anything would be better than prize bonds return that I am getting now. I thought I had a few bad years before but I just cant justify leaving that kind of money sitting there for such an abysmal return.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 3,893 ✭✭✭John arse

I can recommend Bankinter Ireland,2.7% currently on a six month investment with access to 25% after eight weeks. They differ from Raisin in that they take care of DIRT for you with interest paid daily.Revolut paying between 1.5%(this rate may have changed recently)and 2.25% for instant access is another.Guaranteed returns.
