Has there been any word at all on new Gamecube games coming to NSO? Only been 2 games added this year.

It wouldn’t surprise me if they brought one or both of the 2 Star Fox games to tie in with the new release.

I don't know if it's still for sale but they did release a version where you didn't need any toys or add on's. You could play it just as a space shooter.

last time I checked there are digital licences for the additional pilots, ships and weapons that you can buy which are permanently available(apparently the toys need to be linked via NFC every couple of weeks to prove you still have them 🙄), but that's still a hefty chunk to drop in order to unlock everything. My idea is to just give _everyone_ all the unlocks via a free update.

Yoshi and the Mysterious Book has gotten a right mixed bag of review scores. I would like it to be good, I hope it is.

    https://www.metacritic.com/game/yoshi-and-the-mysterious-book/critic-reviews/?platform=nintendo-switch-2

It's 81% on Metacritic. Some of the reviews have been opposite of what I would expect from certain sites. VGC gave it 100%, but then, the perennial lick ass site Nintendo Life gave it 60%.

It looks a good game graphically, and I have a lot of time for Good Feel, the developer(not just for their previous work on Yoshi games). I don't understand why Nintendo kept this such a tight guarded secret, until launch. s they've done with other games.

I see plenty of YouTube commentators discussing the price of Switch 2 games in the past few days, and how Nintendo may have had a reality check on charging €80 for some Switch 2 games. Yoshi is €60, and the upcoming Star Fox game is €50.

Though I think some of these prices are down to the franchises recognisability.

Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 4 Releases on October 23, 2026

This is Warfare Without Limits: Call of Duty®: Modern Warfare® 4 releases on Friday, October 23, 2026 on PlayStation 5, XBOX Series X|S, PC, and Nintendo Switch 2. From Activision and Infinity Ward.

For the first time in well over a decade, COD is returning to a Nintendo platform. The last time I played this franchise and they were on a Nintendo platform, was on Wii U, and they were excellent ports. Hopefully they will turn out well here too.

Last Call of Duty I played on Nintendo was COD 3 with the Wii zapper back when that still felt like the future 😆

No real interest in this given the direction of the series these days but this feels like a really good sign for the Switch 2.

Apart from a mouse, the wiimote (infrared pointer) is still the best and fastest thing for pointing at a screen. Plus, it's more realistic as you actually point with your hand and are not manipulating a mouse on a desk to point.

Gyro on Switch/PS5/... requires resetting and good programming per game too.

I think it's a pity they don't reintroduce the wiimote support on Switch. Perfect for console FPS etc etc

Picked up a Hori Real Arcade Pro V Hayabusa fighting arcade stick. Was released originally for the Switch 1, but seems it backwards compatible with Switch 2.

Any recommendations for games besides Street Fighter! I have the Nintendo Switch Online Plus Expansion Pack membership if that helps.
