Last week I got the Raffle number in the Lotto and won €500.

Prior to this I got €300 in a scratch card and €100 earlier in the year.

Father Popcorn won a Hamper in Hampers and Roses when I was a kid.

It consisted of strange chocolates, alcohol that we didn't drink and cheque in £ Punts which was meant to go towards your Turkey amd Ham. We used the basket to store our blocks for the fire in.

What was the most you ever won.

In the actual lottery where you can win millions, the most I've ever got was a few hundred here and there, after doing it for nearly 30 years it's been mostly no no wins, occasional €3, €5, and free draws and scratch cards.

Won the jackpot in the local GAA club lotto back in 2003, £5600 can still remember the numbers to this day 2, 9, 19, 21

I’ve played for years and years and years… spent thousands I guess, but only €4 or €6 at a time… biggest prize around €10! But I like to think I am buying a chance at winning something life changing at some stage

    #MEGA MAKE EUROPE GREAT AGAIN

Nothing over double digits and 95% likely single digit wins -2 euro, 5 euro etc

It totally a tax on the stupid but doesn’t stop me spending say 10 -15 euro a month.
Scratch cards are the worst and I could see how people could get addicted to buying them - very rarely would I win anything on them and never more than a few euro - a total scam - I mostly play the Irish or euro lotto when jackpot is reasonably large

I can honestly say i never bought a national lottery or lotto ticket in my life.

I always support local lotto and have won small prizes 50 and 100 .i have a pp a/c that I top up by maybe 10 or 20 anually and it gives me great enterainment ,always only bet a few euro and have won 100 or over few occasions .

The amout people squander in National Lottery is a disgrace. Fools and their money come to mind!!

€2,000 on the Euromillions Plus Ireland only draw, a few years ago. Around 60 people win €2,000 every Friday and around 40 every Tuesday.

IR£184 in 1995. The night Collins beat Eubank for the first time. I got 5 numbers plus the bonus - the bonus wasn't a thing then with 5 numbers so I got only 5 numbers. Really low week as it was normally about IR£500 or so for 5 numbers.

There was a bonus draw that night as it was Patrick's weekend - the 5 numbers paid IR£3,500!

Basically I had 6 of the 7 numbers. Had I got the 6 in a row I'd have had IR£1.1m!!

My local newsagent even paid me the money it was so low.

I won 500 once, but I don't do the lotto that often. I have won the occasional 5 or 10 as well.

Back in the eighties, I once had two winning lines on a 5punt ticket, winning 100 punts on each. But between the two lines, I had all five numbers…..had they been on the same line the jackpot that weekend was 1 million.

When ever i am in my local petrol station to get a coffee I always know when paying why the queue is long , because somebody is having there lotto tickets check and the buying scratch cards, the amount some people spend weekly is unreal.

i had five numbers many years ago on Lottery and won about £300. I gave up playing the lotto a few years back and now only play it at Christmas. the few times it, play it now, I have to think that I have been hoodwinked. Have been lucky enough in local lottos, split the bucket etc over last few years. Unfortunately the queen and daughters hear about it and that ends with something essential (to them) being bought.

1000 Pounds/1270 Euro back in the day. Would have been 1.27 Million Euro but I was one digit off.

Oh, and 6 pounds on the same ticket.

When they upped the numbers to 49(?), even getting small wins decreased so eventually so I gave up on it.

I did join a syndicate for a couple of years but we never won more that about 20E, and that was between 8 of us.

    It's a joke these days.

Make sure you get your money. €15 million a year goes unclaimed, and it is not given out in more prizes. There is more leeway with scratch cards compared to Lotto tickets, but they do have an expiry date.

Won £25 on a scratch card in 2001 or so.

Never won a penny/cent on the lotto.

I know of someone who had £10,000 on a scratch card in the 90s, they lost the card before cashing it in.

Some lucky sod found that card and had a great day.

I win €2 every week by not doing it.

    It really adds up.

About IR£50 back in the late 90's in a work syndicate. We got 5 numbers, pumped all of our collective winnings into a the next draw and won 12 quid if memory serves.

As an individual I think 25 euro was the most i ever won. Dont buy the cards and rarely do the lotto unless its a big one
