Huawei SUN2000 Inverter - Settings

Hi All,

Had seen a dedicated section for Solis but none for the Huawei SUN2000 which i have.

Have had it over 2 years but looking to tweak it a bit more having seen friends with different systems and seem far easier to tune to their requirments. I currently charge the batteries up to 80% at night, let solar top it up in the day and export the rest. It would be great to be able to dump whats left of the battery to the grid after midnight and charge again. The settings are not very obvious to me. The unit is currently on V200R001C00SPC142

You can set forced discharge (battery settings).
In Home Assistant You can do automation to set this up easily

You can immediately charge to 100% at night to maximise your exports (assuming FIT is greater than your night rate)

Can this be done over wifi or you need to have a wired connection to the inverter? You hardly have a link to the HA code? I have added one from github but so far dont see any way to automate my recently installed batteries with it so I think I am missing something on my setup

Pretty sure the Invertor needs a dongle to enable modbus TCP.

Can anyone suggest how I can change the settings of my Sun 2000 Huawei dongle to link to a new wifi router, please?

Currently the inverter is linked to a 4G router that I'm planning to get rid of. In fact, the only reason that I'm still keeping it is because of the link to my inverter. Thanks.

Just change the SSID and password to the same as the existing router. Easy enough to do in most cases, bottom of the new router will have the IP address and password for the GUI access.

Login and change SSID and password for the WiFi to existing normally under WiFi settings, seperate your 2.4Ghz and 5Ghz networks also, use same password for both.

Or maybe just reset the dongle to the new router, probably a reset button on it.
