What 2 players are all but done?

Cunha was very much done this time last year.

Right now it seems like Ederson is very possible - but who else? People seeing Whitwell mention Baleba, and referencing some social media comment the player made are adding 2+2 and coming up with 7.

Mainoo's close control of the ball when surrounded by the opposition is unbelievable. He went through 4/5 players outside/in the box and still got a effort in.

What the **** was Amorim doing leaving this lad out of his side and having Bruno as a holding mid. Brunk would of smashed the record if the formation was right from the start of the season. Think we woulda been higher up the table.

You just didn’t believe in the process enough. It was the worst Man United squad ever remember?

Ederson + Baleba based on all the noise being made about them. Basically done is probably over egging it slightly but I'd be happy enough to go with that stance. The deals are progressing and likely to be completed

Carrick officially ends on top of the PL form table for his 17 games, 3 points ahead of title winning Arteta.

Most wins and most goals scored in that period.

8 more points than Amorim in 3 less games. Increased the PPM from 1.55 to 2.29.

We all said it was right to wait until the end of the season before making any decisions, but if that form doesn't get you more time in the seat then there was literally nothing that could have gotten him the job.

Any chance today could be enjoyed and can go back to taking shots at each other tomorrow?

    This is Bruno's day

I hold my hands up and say I was conned. Jesus imagine we'd let Mainoo go and stood behind that arrogant silver tongued snake oil merchant.

I haven’t seen anyone suggest that a deal for Baleba has even begun, never mind progressed anywhere. I’d guess (based on what SullyTalks has said) that the likely CM signings at the moment are Ederson and Fernandes.

Whitwell is a good United generalist journalist, but he’s not really a transfer journalist.

United win and West Ham going down. Can drink to that.

Delighted to see Bruno get his record.

Pep losing his last game in charge was a nice bonus.

Bruno Fernandes will get the plaudits and rightly so.

But worth pointing out that Luke Shaw started every single PL game this season. Only five United outfield players have done this in the Premier League era.

Pallister, Irwin, Bruce, Maguire and now Shaw. Credit where credit is due, he was available and consistent this season. Hopefully next season will be the same and a younger and more attacking full back can be brought in for rotation.

Not for me, think hes been robbing rhe club blind the last few years.

Was injured most of the season but suddenly ready for the euros to be injured again will always be a black mark for me. He should of never went to that tournament.

Should of been sold years ago imo

Bruno already a United great/legend. Absolutely delighted for him and happy to see those saying he was shite a few years back eat their words. He was always our best player by a mile. It's not a trophy but delighted for us to be breaking good records for a change. That will take some beating. I hope he stays with us until 36/37.

Can’t really blame a player for wanting to represent their country. He only started the final in that tournament.

‘Robbing the club blind’ is ridiculous

And just finished playing every premier league game this season. Do you think he wanted to be injured. And coming back for an international. Id expect no less of any Irish player. He's quality. Hopefully stays fit next season as we'll need him.

i suppose its what you want in a full back.

30 assists in 12 years is shocking. he'll leave for free next season.

he didnt get near enough the criticism for that euors thing.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 19,697 ✭✭✭✭bucketybuck

My problem with Shaw right now is that I think he is staying fit by not going 100%.

His attacking input is minimal, he is not making forward runs to support the attack or making bursts into the box to draw defenders away. And at times in games his lack of intensity is infuriating.

He is managing himself, so while he is solid and that has been fine for this current period, if we want to challenge again then we need a full back that contributes going both directions.

His attacking stats are worse than Dalots for twice the wages, but people want Dalot sold. Go figure.

Obviously didnt want to be injured, what player does. He finished a season with rhe club playing the least amount of games which suited him.

The time of the Euros he should of pulled himself out of availability because of the lack of club time played. He got injured then again again. He's never been reliable since thay leg break which is obviously a hard one to get through.

He should of been sold ages ago.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 4,440 ✭✭✭AidoEirE

Only before this season, Martial had played more games than Shaw.

He was a suddenly available for England and got injured again quickly after for the Euros.

Not on him as no player obviously wants to get injured butthe always pulls a season on competition summer.

He has completely robbed the club with the wages vs appearances imo.

Him being able to complete a full season on god knows how long shouldn't be something to celebrate, it should be the minimum as a utd player for that long.

Decent performance today , even Mount and Amad had good games. All eyes on the transfer window now, hopefully now that the Hammers are relegated we'll have Fernandes signed by Wednesday :P

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 11,408 ✭✭✭✭FourFourRED

A lot of people have wanted Dalot sold for years, rightfully so. Nobody really wants or believes in Shaw as a first choice option in this team, but a lot of people are happy for him on a personal level for what he’s achieved appearance-wise. Why? Because some of us think he was very good before that awful injury, and most of the bad stuff that followed wasn’t really his fault - and he’s been given a very hard time over it.

But it’s Bruno’s day though, and he’ll obviously be reading the thread, so it feels wrong to be talking about other players.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 19,697 ✭✭✭✭bucketybuck

I know we already have options on the right but I'd like to see a bid made for Bowen, if he can be gotten for reasonable money it would be a great signing. We need more squad depth, he is PL proven, he is flexible, he is a club captain and is known to be a good character as far as I know.

If I hear he is going to Spurs or somewhere for market rate then I'll be annoyed about that.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 983 ✭✭✭ollkiller

When he's fit every manager we've had in his career picks him. I really don't get the hate for Shaw. Lad is class and seems to care about the club.

That leg break was 11 years ago, an eternity in sport. I'm not getting too enthused about him completing a season 11 years later, especially not when I think he has been coasting a bit.

But then I'm also one of those who thinks it was a disgrace what he did around that Euro finals. He should have been a professional and did his rehab that summer.

Imagine De Ligt going to the World cup and then missing next season as well, we'd all be **** raging.
