Merino back in training. Wonder if he's an outside chance for the final if needed.

there’s a flight out at half 7 and back at 10 from Heathrow so should be ok

Question was more about the parade itself and the ability to see anything and if it’s worth it. With a 14 year old as well so pubs might not be a doer. Went over to the Sunderland home game and they wouldn’t let us in anywhere near the ground

what is there to see other than the players on the bus doing a tour of the area ? It’s more for the atmosphere of all the Arsenal fans being in the one area like outside the emirates the other night

Pubs won’t be an issue in my experience and 10pm flight gives you loads of time

Agree with many of the sentiments of the posters here. But I would add I think the Gunners are at the top as a result of very good stewardship from the Owners & Management.

Success comes from the top down. The Kroenkes know how to run a sports business and trust their management. The fact they had continued faith in Arteta demonstrated they knew success would come with time (and let's face it, along with money).

I've not championed Arteta in this thread, but conversely, I never criticized him. He has built an amazing culture during his time at Arsenal, and that takes time. The courage it took to move Aubameyang on—our captain, leading goal scorer, and highest-paid player at the time—because of his "non-negotiables" regarding culture and team discipline is the best example I can think of that.

The fact he was mentored by Pep must be acknowledged, too. His time at City would have been invaluable to understand how a successful football club is managed.

I've always held a belief in him after watching the first episode of All or Nothing, when he came closest to losing his job. He took full responsibility, shared a very personal story, and told the players he believed in them. It was pure, honest, and raw emotion from a coach knowing it could be the last time he addressed his players.

For anyone that wants to reminisce.

    Trust the process

Anyone who hasn't already read it should try get a hold of James McNicholas' article posted on The Athletic after the match.
    It's fascinating to be honest.

This is the link for anyone with access

They targeted a 2023–27 “win window”, expecting City/Liverpool to dip as squads aged and Klopp/ Pep moved on.

Recruitment and spending were timed to make the squad peak in that window—then they made a final push last summer for depth to get over the line. Also recruited similar age profiles so they would be socially compatible as it were.

I heard them discuss it on the Arsecast and you are right, its very interesting and pretty prophetic.

my young lad made a YouTube clip, he’s hoping Arsenal or one of the players spot it bless him

If anyone would like to give a like he would be thrilled to bits, he’s reaming if working for the club as a content creator, big dreams for a primary school lad 😂

Down in the local dunnes this morning and had my 1970s Arsenal shirt on, as I walked in another bloke coming out started singing 'championees' at me.... sang back 'come on you gunners'...thought at my age id be over little things like that but nope, loved it!

The camaraderie from gooners all over has been incredible since Tuesday night.

Still buzzing and dying to see us get the trophy tomorrow.

Some good news on the injury front. Mikel Merino is apparently in the squad for tomorrow and available for the champions league final next week. Fingers crossed Timber can get himself for the finale too.

Well done to ex-gunners Kieran Tierney and Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain for winning the double with Celtic. A few weeks ago it looked very unlikely.

I wasn't expecting so many changes. A lot of "finishers" left on the bench it seems

Arteta must be confident of getting Timber back if he's starting Mosquera who must be out only RB option for next Saturday

    Lol at the team.

It has the look of a league cup tie team from both sides. Norgaard making starting his first ever Premier League game on what very likely is his last game for the club. A real shame as I really like him.

Interesting to see Sky have Zubi at RB, Norgaard in midfield and Dowman in the middle.

Can't even imagine the sheer pain we'd all be going through right now if it wasn't for Bournemouth.
