Homeside. Housing issue bubbled back up again, it's going for another round of mediation with RTB, had the property manager call to my place as well. Needless to say, I spiralled pretty badly after that… Can someone send either a miracle or an asteroid?

Good luck trying to figure me out. I haven't managed that myself yet!

You'll be fine, they move grindingly slowly, it's more a bix-ticking, pen-pushing exercise to show that it's still active..

True. I guess it was more the shock than anything else. I do have an idea that I want to submit this time around as to how to resolve the situation. I very much feel like it’s a non-starter, as it requires cooperation from the landlord which I doubt I’ll get, but it’s worth a shot. And at least I’ll be able to say that I tried. Need to do a bit more planning and research on that though.

No giving up and throwing in the towel this time. I am just about ready to start a one-man war against the weather gods, though. I want my summer! 🤬🤬

Good luck trying to figure me out. I haven't managed that myself yet!

I was out with the FTD Brothers on their Wexford leg today. Body is surprisingly OK. Great publicity on social medias.

The brothers are running 33 marathons in 33 consecutive days, travelling through every county in Ireland after starting their journey at the London Marathon.

They are raising money and awareness of Frontotemporal Dementia which they are carriers of the gene and lost their mother to it.

This was #27 in the challenge. They are really an inspiring young pair.

First half of this year has probably been the longest stretch of crappy mood I think I've ever had (I know the source but it wasn't something that could be changed in the short term)

Second half is looking up now because I've a few found the strength to get some events booked into the calendar and I'm just after booking one other thing, towards the end of the year, that I'm so so excited for.

So, I'll scrape through the next month or two, then I can look forward to.tje rest of the year ☺️

    ....…

2026: 'This is where something better begins' (←well that plan ain't working out too well)

What a beautiful day 🌞. Deffering garden work at the moment while I have coffee and chocolate digestives in the sun.

I am amazed by anyone that can manage a marathon. But running 33 in 33 consecutive days is beyond my understanding. There are some incredible people in the world.

I don't think I'd walk one in a day to be honest, the mind boggles

Did the property manager call out of the blue?

I'd be telling them politely but firmly they need to give me at least 24 hours notice, in writing or by email … and then closing the door on them!

    🤣

Second line of post holiday washing out, sun shining helps to lift the mood since getting back. Bring on the forecasted heatwave. 😂

Having a cupcake and cuppa as my reward. Cat has been glued to me since I’m back, must’ve missed me a little bit 😁

They did. Didn't come in, didn't ask to be let in. Basically wanted to check if I was still alive.

Actually gave me a heads-up on some upcoming work in the development as well, including upcoming inspections in a couple of week's time that'll happen to all of the apartments in the complex. Something about the building settling more than expected, which would chime with the surveyors I've seen here since January. I'll get a separate email about that ahead of time.

I do have to give credit where credit is due. The landlord/management company are very much playing by the rules/erring on the side of caution from what I can tell. Given some of the horror stories I see in the news, that's not something I take for granted.

Anyway, Homeside here, completely wrecked. Made the mistake of booting up Civilization VII last night. Just…one…more…turn…

Good luck trying to figure me out. I haven't managed that myself yet!

Lying in bed here after a very long and much needed sleep following a very hectic day of intense work yesterday. I slept for over 12 hours.

Looks really lovely and warm outside and I'm really tempted to go into the park and chill for the rest of the afternoon, but I have to work again over the weekend in order to meet that hard deadline of next Wednesday. 😭😩
