Unhinged despot makes hollow threats of mass murder via social media. Again. Hardly news at this stage.

An Israeli military base has suffered a large fire today due to supposedly an electric short circuit. The base is IDF Tsz'elim base where US troops also go to train in urban warfare and is a mock up of a Palestinian town like Gaza.

    Gaza isn't a town.

This is a good one from that link:

Training exercises here are meant to help soldiers and their officers distinguish between combatants and civilians, and prepare them for situations in which terrorists exploit civilians as human shields.

So basically it's to help them know when to kill anyone they see. I'm guessing too when they talk about terrorists using civilians as human shields they aren't referring to when the IDF do this. It's been a while since I've read such a level of uncritical, nonsensical propaganda.

Sounds like Don and Bibi are preparing to resume the war, did they learn nothing from the first go around?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 2,547 ✭✭✭RGARDINR

I would say they just got the ordinance in place and thats what they had the delay in the bombing. They needed to re arm the AA weapons etc. as they were running extremely low. So they will bomb for a wk or 2 and call it a day again and rinse and repeat.

Did the US not severely deplete their munitions already? 'Another round' will surely empty their stocks or leave them basically empty?

Never mind that the Gulf states seem to have turned on the US, and the local US infrastructure/ bases are all but wiped out?

what makes you think it was Iran? The drone came from the West. Why would Iran do that during a ceasefire that they want to keep in effect. This has all the trademarks of a standard israeli false flag. Motive: they want to recommence the war.

Don't know how accurate but a report I read mentioned 4 years to build stockpiles back up.....Trump making disquieting noises about Taiwan being a long way away in recent times.....Im wondering (given how foolish their actions have been to date) is it possible they may actually be crazy enough to think they can onshore chip production on a timeline thar wouldn't leave them dependant.....

Then again maybe the chief just doesn't care as long as the grift keeps going.....

No one outside the pentagon knows

just like the Iranians wont publicly announce how many rocket launchers they have left (not that anyone believe em) the Americans wont publicise what missile stocks they have left (no one believe em either) for obvious reasons

Pages and pages been written about missile stocks but at best it’s people guessing on both sides

You may well be correct, you would of thought they would of named them also but named it as a terrorist attack, not that it can be ruled out for sure. They have made a big mistake getting into bed with the Zionist regimes the UAE have, they will become outcasts if they are not careful. I think they are going to get battered more than Israel will if it kicks off again.

Seems to be a lot of speculation that could genuinely happen this time alright

My concern is the 'lesson' Trump will have taken from the first round is he needs to go big on civilian infrastructure this time

    Where is your outrage?

When nuclear facilities in Iran (which you claimed have no nuclear materials) were attacked you were all faux outrage

When a civilian reactor in a third country next to millions of people including most of Irans population you go “they deserve it”

Yes, Afghanistan, Iran and China are paragons of virtue and we should all go live there to be truly moral and enlightened, just don't bring your 12-year old daughters in case they are married off.

Waffle. I am talking about the West's moral authority. I didn't mention other parts of the world. You are so stuck in your ways, you cannot see how the world is changing for the worst. You refuse to accept that the West might be a negative force. Blinkered view, open your eyes. Not adaptable. A Trump voter if you lived there I presume?

What are they doing in the Hyacinth house?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 1,611 ✭✭✭JohnDoe2025

And where is the better moral authority?

Hamas terrorists who pull people onto the street and execute them in public?

The Chinese government who monitor, control and record every movement of their citizens?

    Putin's Russia?

The countries of sub-Saharan Africa mired in numerous civil wars?

North Korea's shining example of prosperity?

    South America's drug-riddled corruption?

Like it or not, the West is still the place to live, the place that respects human rights over and above all other regions of the world, that best provides its own citizens with food, housing and security. That still carries moral authority.

Where did I mention better? Can you not understand a simple point? The West had a self proclaimed moral authority on the world and all the main world institutions were in US or Europe. Now they look like war mongers, war criminals and psychopaths.

The West's moral authority has been absolutely destroyed in recent years. You don't even acknowledge there was a genocide for example so why are you bothered? Go support Trump and Netanyahu, I don't care. Those 2 psychos don't recognise the UN, ICJ, ICC etc etc

What are they doing in the Hyacinth house?

The West's moral authority may be damaged, but you were claiming it had evaporated.

Simply not true, as I have pointed out.

Saudi Arabia are saying the drone came from Iraq where two secret Israeli bases were discovered at the weekend. Israel has invaded yet another country.

From that article, it appears that the Iraqi government knew about it and weren't too bothered.

I thought they might have drawn the line at Israel using their territory to hit a civilian nuclear facility in supposedly friendly nation UAE purely to try to pin blame on Iran.

If by "it" you meant the Israel bases rather than the drone, well, they still should be concerned if their territory is being used to attack UAE with drones regardless of source.

That's a bizarre conspiracy theory when there are much simpler explanations, including Iranian proxies operating in Iraq.

Either way, it doesn't really fit with your previous answer though - "the Iraqi government knew about it and weren't too bothered."

From reading the article, it is clear that the Iraqi government knew about the Israeli staging posts and didn't seem concerned. How you then leap to the Israelis being responsible for the attack on UAE is the missing piece.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 38,635 ✭✭✭✭odyssey06

No leap, seems to be what you accepted in your earlier reply when you didn't challenge the theory that Saudi Arabia are saying the drone came from Iraq…

"Saudi Arabia are saying the drone came from Iraq where two secret Israeli bases were discovered at the weekend."

"From that article, it appears that the Iraqi government knew about it and weren't too bothered."

    it = the drone.

No, I was referring to the existence of the Israeli bases, which have been known about for weeks.

The illogical and unexplainable leap is linking the Israeli bases to the attack on the UAE.

What else can he do? that's about the only lesson (if one could call it that he has left open)....he can keep up what has come before and run the risk of Iran outlasting him and guarantee a worse outcome I suppose....

Now that the moron has gotten himself to this position.....if he resumes hostilities, what if any alternatives exist to hitting civilian infrastructure and bringing enough of the population to its knees as possible so protesting and attempting to overthrow the regime at the risk of one's own survival is the least worst option..

If he thought he would get away with it, he would take out their water, food, energy etc etc in a heartbeat imo.....

Yes thatn is the logic of the corner he has painted himself into. I'm sure his advisers will be telling him more of the same from the previous bombing round will be water off a duck's back. Unlike you I believe he is genuinely squeamish about unleashing hell on the civilian population, hene his reluctance to push the button on this.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 7,964 ✭✭✭amacca

I dont know, If he is squeamish it's for selfish reasons imo.....not because he has anything resembling empathy or decency

Anyone that doesn't want to make decisions like that doesn't ascend to power in the way he has....he leaves no get out of jail clause....he corners himself with his approach...its almost inevitable he ends up where he is.....

Unless he is incapable of any logical thought or suffers from an extreme capriciousness/ a lack of patience that overrules any sort of logical thought outside of pursuing a specific goal (but thats psychopathic almost so he should be able to give the order)......somehow I doubt that .....although I do see people that admire a certain type of person and their actions are often admirers because they aren't capable of carrying out those actions themselves when it comes to the crunch (and deep down they know it)......

I just doubt it.....put it this way would you be willing to put your life in his hands if you knew not preserving it would enrich/advance him......I wouldn't trust his squeamishness tbh

Now if the squeamishness is purely selfish/selfish serving and he has fear of personal consequences...then I could get on board with that all right....I consider him to be like all bullies ...deep down a snivelling coward despite all the outward projection of strength etc .... if I'm right, talk about being out of his depth....

February, March, April, and now well into May. If the US and Israel restart their illegal war the possibility is strong that fuel prices will be high in July and August which would be in the memory for voters in the mid-term elections. Russia and China are probably hoping the US does a troop invasion :)
