Thought that was a foul !! Should have been an opportunity for Westmeath to win it.

Why shoot from there, why not work it shorter.

Heslin of all lads not to take the tap over point

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 13,234 ✭✭✭✭castletownman

Westmeath stopped doing what was working as soon as Heslin came on.

But if they have enough left in the tank and revert back to the running game, they could still do it

    Westmeath have blown it, sigh.

I still think Westmeath will do it.

Full time Dublin 0-22 Westmeath 0-22.  Westmeath will be kicking themselves if they end up losing in extra time.

Think there was about 12 seconds left, so he probably felt they wouldn't work a better position in that time

Baker, the forward, is the man to be getting on ball.

Even Paul Flynn on the Sunday Game will struggle to dress this Dublin performance up. Same odd tactics and lack of urgency for most of matches.

Guff about stuff, and stuff about guff.

Nothing in this game surprises a Dublin fan whose been to their games.

Getting killed on kick outs. When opponents build up momentum we really struggle to turn the tide.

Westmeath favourites on that 70 and if they keep their heads they will win.

Completely but doesn't work that way some times I'm afraid.

They’ve missed some really good chances, one in particular where your man just kicked it in air in a really good position. Nerves might be thing that gets them but like I’ve said , this Dublin team is so unpredictable, you never know what your gonna get.

Think losing Byrne in midfield is costing us badly.

Maybe, maybe not. If Westmeath have the leg to run at Dublin its theres to win. Dublin will not frighten any team even with Con, Mur han and Basquel back.

Worst thing that could happen to Dublin is extra time ends with a draw andvit goes to a replay

Credit to Dublin to draw that game with so little primary possession.

An exciting game, but ultimately two ordinary teams who won't feature at the business end of the All Ireland. Plenty of poor play from both teams.

Westmeath look like they have blown it,but who knows ....Dublin look out on their feet , Scully,Howard and Kilkenny have carried them but the new guys are really bang average.

A lot of rules badly thought out. Could you deck a lad after the hooter with no consequences!

Dublin can't kick a short kickout or a 2 pointer.

That's not good enough for a top team.

    Westmeath have started well

    Don't get this dismissiveness.

Westmeath won't give one flying **** whether they are good enough to feature in the latter end of the AI series if they get over the line this afternoon. A second ever Leinster title trumps anything else for counties like that

Louth must have been absolutely awful

WM will need a goal to win this.

    Lol. As I was typing.

    Good man Comerford
