I thought the ball bounced into him with his arms in a natural position. Seems a reasonable call

Poor Gary, he's lost for words. Ref wasn't sold so stuck with his original decision. That's one that's gone against us many times over the past couple of seasons.

"Well, yeah, you know, that's just, like, your opinion, man"

Amazing a VAR decision went for us. Ridiculous it took that long.

    He really is annoying...

What is Neville on about? "Referee overruled VAR". Isn't the whole thing that they are recommending the referee reviews his decision, not that they're telling him he's wrong.

He's an embarrassment. Just say I think this could be hand ball but the lad had a hard on for it to be overruled.

I'm assuming letter of the law applied, arm in natural position, bounces up off his leg then hits his hand which technically not hand ball. In footballing terms its not a great decision though.

He won’t shut up about that decision for the rest of the game now. Time to mute it.

WTF is wrong with Gary Neville ? Absolute pain in the hole listening to him on commentary for Utd games. Ball came up off his hip under his arm. I wouldn't be going mad if it were disallowed or anything but can see why he left it as given

We've had some bad var calls against us this season so nice to see a bit of justice for those. Neville is some whingebag.

I thought the rule was that if arms in natural position and accidental handball that as long as it didn't directly lead to the player scoring then it was ok?

Open to correction on above as the rule is clear as mud these days but I think it's correct decision based on what I understood was the rule.

Now talking about if it was a defender it wouldn't be a penalty but it's different for attackers

Bruno robbed there. Ffs Bryan you have to put one of these away

What is going on with Mbeumo

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 11,097 ✭✭✭✭johnnyryan89

Get that checkbook out and buy a striker this summer

Mbuemo needs to be taken off. Another shocking miss.

Mbeumo really should've scored two today already FFS

True - I found it on Sky Sports NZ so switched over. I'll switch back to hear Keano after the final whistle though.

Starting to think Bryan must be betting against himself to score at this point - not even to hit the target there

    Bruno desperately wants the record

Keane will be bitter about it to if it helps Carrick get a win

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 2,573 ✭✭✭mobydopy

Sesko scores all those sitters that Mbuemo has missed today I reckon

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 11,408 ✭✭✭✭FourFourRED

Yeah and rightfully so, he’s been denied any opportunity of silverware so it’s nice to have something to play for on a personal level.

Gary Neville is the biggest twat in football. He says he "hates the European interpretation of handball" aka Ben white whereby it hits a body part then hits the arm. Yet, when it his Mbeumo in the hip THEN his hand its a handball..

    Contradiction much??

Cunha is the more natural finisher and in better form, Bruno might do better with them swapped around. Surely Zirkzee will be on for Mbeumo or Amad shortly.
