LOL pretty much all inverters are made in China. Except Victron, they are made in India 😂

It's only for big projects which want EU/government funding

What it means for me. Nothing. And the same for the general population.

Even the new apple of the installers eyes (Including vendor lock-in…) sigenergy, are made in china.

Funding from the EU stops Nov 1st this year per the FT a few weeks ago. What it means to Joe Soap probably nothing

I remember reading about how inverters could be weaponised to overload the grid. Sounded far fetched at the time, but not since International Criminal Court Judges were denied access to their email accounts by Microsoft or the United Nations Special Rapporteur on the occupied Palestinian territories has been debanked for criticising Israel. Also read about a Chinese vehicle being brought deep underground to avoid any signals, and it essentially bricked itself.

If the relationship between the EU & China broke down, it would be a very useful stick to beat the EU with.
