URC Week 18 - Last day of the regular season

Munster are in stinking form and Lions have a full deck with something to play for.

To say Munster should win is a massive reach.

And even with those circumstances, Munster still should win.

It’s miles from a massive reach.

I'm sure you should have done a lot more this season as well but you find yourself, as things stand, out of the Champions Cup next season as a result of repeated failures.

And yet Munster find themselves 7 point favourites for this game. 2/5 outright.

Whether they will win is a different matter.

But it’s not at all a “massive reach” to suggest they should, even in the context of this season.

Plenty of teams should have done more this season. And, indeed, plenty of previous seasons.

No it's not a massive reach to say they should, because their form is absolutely rotton.

Bookies odds don't matter a shite. There have been bigger handicaps turned over.

You can go back-and-forth with semantics and pedantry all you want, but saying you should win is a massive in the context of your most recent form.

I highly doubt anyone in the Munster dressing room will be sharing your attitude.

I hope the players believe they should win. Poor form doesn’t change the fact that Munster are at home and have more than enough quality to beat this Lions team on their day. Every team should go into a home game expecting to win, regardless of recent results. If the players don’t have that belief, then there’s a much bigger problem than form.

There's a difference between having a belief and taking something for granted.

Lowe already doing his utmost to stake a claim for a jersey in next weeks Champions Cup Final.

Lions were good in patches last week plus they've been here all week and will have settled and acclimatised.
